Had this in my frig for a while. Opened it to provide some cooking liquid and get a taste.
Beautiful beer with a clear yellow color and great head and lacing. Fruity, piney smell and taste. The hatch chili is subtle but it definitely leaves an aftertaste.. overall, not bad but I doubt I would repeat.

This is a very unique and very good beer. It is hazy gold in color with some nice lacing on the glass. What is most memorable, however, is the spice of the hatch chilis. Take a nice beer and add the peppery flavor and mild spiciness of the chili’s and you have a very good combination.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a hazy texture. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A very aggressive aroma of peppers (a whole lot of peppers), some citrus, and malt.
T: Tasted of peppers, peppers, and more peppers (habanero, I would think), but also had hints of light malt, citrus fruit (grapefruit, in particular), some hops content, and a slight graininess. The peppers dominate the flavor, but it's pretty well rounded. Powerful, but not overwhelming like many chili beers.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a pretty dry finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: An interesting and well made beer. It probably won't appeal to everyone, but it's a solid beer.

First had poured from 12-oz. bottle into nonic pint. This Pepper Pale Ale is part of the brewery's Back Porch Series. Peppers--I'm guessing banana--are definitely there, in this eminently quaffable beer.

Pours clear, orange in color, with 1/3 inch head. Taste is pale ale, grapefruit and orange rind dominate. There is habanero warmness that peeps in at the end and provides and vegetable taste as well as some heat. Not overly hot, but good. Above average, but one per sitting is fine by me.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Bright copper color, lacing does a great job sticking on the glass. Smells of orangey hops and chili peppers. Perfect smoothness, medium body, and just enough crispness. Good use of peppers, there is a bite but no real heat. Hop bitterness and flavor marries well with the peppers but both are not too much to bring this beer out of balance. You'll want to pair this, it is fine on its own but one is more than enough.

Sampled at the brewery. A unique APA. The hops are not so much a part of this beer as the malt and the peppers. Has a mild bite in the back of the throat while sipping. Not sure I could crush this stuff but something different from a solid brewery.

Golden in color and slightly cloudy. It has a nice creamy mouthfeel with light peppery aftertaste. Very drinkable on a hot summer day.

Nice color. Pale ale flavor front, hops on the mid, followed by a slight peppery bite. We'll balance pepper pale ale. I had it on draft. I'd have it again. Mouthfeel was right for a pale, with a little more pepper pulled in. Smells like a pale with a little pepper. Nice beer if you like pepper beers that aren't over the top (sly).
