Style: American Pale Wheat Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.68%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Indian Summer is a light profile American-style wheat ale spiced with Orange Peel and Coriander. Our recipe uses a mix of wheat and pale barley. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the spices to shine through. Clean fermenting yeast produce a very dry, crisp base to further accentuate the spices. The aroma has a distinct citrus note without being overly fruity.

I liked this beer. I hate that hey retired it. I thought it was a good summer beer. A good beer for its style. Citrusy, but not too citrusy. A pale wheat that still packed a little punch. Come on, Lazy Magnolia, bring it back!!!

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of wheat, oranges. Taste is crisp, wheat, spice, a bit of orange, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a thirst quenching and enjoyable beer.

Clear gold with a thin, lager-like small bubble head. Smells like golden wheat, mild caramel and clover. Extremely effervescent, there are constant plumes of bubbles scurry to the top of my glass. Leads to a tingly, slightly medicinal fizzy finish. Flavor profile is crisp wheat and honey sweet.

Due to the wheat, coriander and orange peel I was expecting a wit influence. Doesn't looks, smell or taste like a wit at all, it's pure American style wheat. Which is just dandy after a 6 mile train run.
