Notes / Commercial Description:
You've made a discovery - a German inspired Pale Ale lifted by creativity and crafted for the lofty flight of a Zeppelin. Christian Moerlein Zeppelin Bavarian Pale Ale showcases the characteristics of traditional pales, enhanced by the distinctive flavors and aromas of German noble hops. Pilsner and Munich malts provide a significant backbone balanced by delicate floral and fruity notes from a late kettle hop addition and dry hopping. The result makes this Zeppelin constantly smooth and balanced in flight.

On tap at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati

This is my first self-titled Bavarian-style pale ale. The website explains that the use of German noble hops makes it Bavarian-style, along with pilsner and munich malts.
As a pale ale, it's not my favorite, but it's still good. Some light hoppiness as far as PAs go, but flavorful. Worth a try if you want something different.

Poured into a tulip glass as a light, hazy, amber colour with little to no head. White.
Aromas of fresh bread and light citrus fruits.
Fresh bread taste, mild Indian spices and some mild citrus.
Refreshing, dry feel.
Not a bad quaff.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high frothy white head that died down a bit but consistently left a short head covering the surface and thick coatings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of fruity yeast are present in the nose—blueberries seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste has flavors of bready malts along with notes of blueberries and hints of limes and floral hops. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Notes of dryness are present in the finish.
O: This beer is very unusual - when I first saw that it was a Bavarian pale ale I thought it would have aromas and flavors of bananas, but it was completely different and tasted much more like a Fruit/Vegetable beer with all of the blueberry flavors.
