Pours a hazy straw colour with a decent head...white as the driven snow...LOL

....getting hops...doughy notes in the bouquet....very inviting....

The hops are definitely muted compared to the scent...this wet hop offering pales in comparison to some of the US wet hop offerings...but I would never want to discourage....the fact that we are getting these in Canada are so lets let them develop.

mouthfeel is def in keeping with the abv.

overall...decent beer...def needs work...but worth drinking...would buy again.

I'm glad this is now in 473ml cans, as the larger-format bottle seemed like a bit of a rip-off. Unfortunately, this is a rather underwhelming beer. For all the talk of fresh local hops, I get much less of the juicy fresh hop aroma I was hoping for from this than I did from the can of Naughty Neighbour I finished right before.

750 ml bottle purchased for something in the neighbourhood of $10 CDN. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - slightly hazy, yellow and slightly orange in color. Topped by two fingers of fluffy and extremely frothy white head. Fantastic lacing that is reminiscent of spiderwebs clings to the glass.

Smell - leafy aromas, little bit of lemon and lime smell. A little bit earthy.

Taste - somewhat sweet and a light lime flavor. Some earthiness blended in too. Hop flavor is most prevalent here.

Mouthfeel - light body and spritzy feel. Medium carbonation and wet finish. Pretty good.

Overall - a well crafted beer that definitely focuses on the leaguer aspect of hops as it tastes like you'd expect, citrusy and leafy. A good beer, that I might revisit if it came in more manageable quantities.

750ml Bottle from the Ottawa LCBO for $6.95

Appearance - Clear gold colour with an average size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Malts, hops, caramel, apricots, grapefruit

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, caramel, and hops. There is also some apricots and grapefruit and a bit of a graininess.

Overall - Don't get me wrong, this is a tasty very sessionable beer. But it doesn't really taste harvest/wet-hoppy to me. It tastes a little bit like their Naughty Neighbour beer but a little more muted. Okay to try once, I just expected more hop freshness from something bottled so recently.

Not aggressive, but flavourful and quite enjoyable. This wet hop has an abundance of hop character on the front. But, a clean and fresh beer more akin to a lager or pil rather than an ale. For those who like American hop bombs but want something they can drink all day. I love anything wet hop and this is no exception. Again, not super complex but it does not lack character and is very drinkable.

A-Copper orange with a white head
S-More on the dank side with earth herbal notes and grassy tones
M-Mouthfeel is light and watery with carbonation at a medium level
T-Bitter upfront but not overpowering. Quite dry and doesn't really have any malt flavour
O-I'll give it points for being a wet hop beer which is difficult to achieve correctly, but otherwise lacklustre

750ml bottle into snifter. cascade, centennial, chinook. remnants of a date code at the bottom of the bottle. purchased sep 21 2015, consumed sep 22 2015

a: transparent golden yellow with white head

s: piney, herbal, floral, grassy citrus. peachy grapefruit, orange, tangerine. hints of sweet malt

t: stone fruit & watermelon-like notes up front, leading into the aforemetnioned citrusy wet hop flavours. mid-palate exhibits floral/herbal notes, like minty parsley. the herb notes get stronger as the beer warms, yet the flavour still remains somewhat citrusy

m: nice and light but far from watery. medium-minus carbonation

o: a nice wet hop ale, was expecting an even stronger hop punch though

750 ml bottle. Poured a creamy white head with really solid retention and lacing. Colour is a cloudy orange/amber, quite hazy. Good film though, 3.75
S – juicy citrus, grapefruit, some definite pepperiness, florals, orange, all about the lively citrusy hops, with some hay/biscuit malt. Quite nice, 4
T – juicy grapefruit, slight citrus tang, lime, quite sweet though with the tropical fruit punch, mango, blood orange, kiwi, some slight malt character, clean with a slight hay character and then a lingering wet finish with a mild bitterness. This a serviceable hop-forward offering but not a ton stands out besides the heavy fruitiness, 3.5
M – its fairly light and easy bodied, the carbonation is light and it seems to be quite a good all round hoppy ale, the hops really make their way into the mouthfeel which is nice, some citrus pith and mild resins. Gets better a bit warmer. 3.75
As it warms up a bit this gets quite a bit more enjoyable, with more than the citrus fruit punch, some piney notes, and grassy florals. It is quite straightforward but not a bad APA for sure, mild florals and lots of citrus, full flavor, decent texture, very minimal bitterness and this could have been stepped up imo, a little to fruity and tropical without enough to counter. 3.75
