750mL bottle from the brewery. I would have bought this one anyways, but the East German crossing guard man (Ampelmannchen)on the bottle sealed the deal.

Poured into my Duvel goblet. Tawny straw in colour, with a half inch of head which quickly dissolves into a fine ring. About par for the style, but still not the most attractive beer out there.

Nose is tart, sour, with a bit of peach and grapefruit, and other spices and fruit. Pleasant, surprisingly complex.

Sour as expected, flavorful, and if you like this sort of beer (as I do) it should do the trick. Not as complex as I would have expected, but decent enough. Tried a little bit later with some syrups and liqueurs (cassis and grenadine), but preferred the unadulterated version.

Carbonation is sharp, decent feel to it.

A surprisingly good local Berliner Weisse. Not exactly of the kind you'd have in Berlin, but certainly quite solid and with a strong sour tartness.

On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro. From notes.

A - Poured golden with mild haze. One finger of white head that went fast on top. Good carbonation. No retention and no lace. Seems proper for the style but not all that impressive.

S - Lemon, dust, mild but not overly inviting.

T - Tart lemon, acidic, lemon candy.

M - Tart finish, strong carbonation, light body.

O/D - Seems fairly to style. Nice tartness and low ABV. It didn't wow me but I enjoyed it. Could have a couple.

Appearance: slightly cloudy and a pale straw color. Little to no head.

Smell: bright fruit aromas with floral almost rose-like undertones.

Taste: Highly carbonated with a lot of "bite". It has an acidic apple taste and seems like the world's greatest cider even though its beer. There were some subdued tastes of clove and banana.

Overall: The acidity and citrus notes are at the forefront with this beer, and the high level of carbonation keeps the sweetness from lingering. It reminded me a lot of what I wish hard cider would taste like. I felt it was highly pallette cleansing with a minorly sour after taste that made me pucker ever so lightly.

Hazy peach-golden colour, 1.5 fingers of white head that settles and rests on top of the beer, a bit of lace here as well. Smell has some wheaty, earthy scents, tart lemmon and lightly acidic, a little yeasty. Taste is refreshing with tart lemmon and malt, moderate sourness, some hay like flavours as well. Medium carbonation and body, nice feel. This was quite nice and something I could easily drink again, solid stuff.
