Love the bottle. Light chocolate notes in the smell and taste along with caramel, nuttiness, and even some vanilla. This is a great brown ale and an easy drinker.

Brown , but very ruby up to the light. Lots of bubbles rising and a root beer float like head that lasts. Nice lacing down the glass. The aroma is chocolate, a little brown sugar, and a bit of toffee, and sweet but a little earthy. The flavor is dark roasted malt, a little chocolate, and a pretty good bitter bite. Feel is average carbonation, medium thin body, and quite dry. ot bad, not great, middle of the pack.

One of the many reasons I miss AZ. This is the quintessential brown ale. Smooth and creamy. Comfort food for beer lovers. Miss you Nimbus!!!

Overcarbonated. Off flavors for a brown, possibly turning bad.

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter (bottled on?) date stamp of Nov/Dec.
Beer is clear dark brown but nearly opaque in the glass.
Small tan head quickly reduced to a thin partial crown leaving spotty lacing.
Aroma: Medium malts, toffee, chocolate and a hint of roasted nuts and vanilla.
Flavor: caramel and medium roasted malts and a touch of vanilla. Good sweet/bitter balance. A touch of smoke in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: smooth; coarse, medium carbonation imparts a bit of tingle. Medium body.
Overall: a modestly better than average nut brown ale.
