Tar black body with a thick, sticky, light tan head. Black licorice and anise aroma; bourbon scent; touches of toffee. Roasted grain flavors; boozy; bitter with an almost sour character; bitter chocolate. Somewhat heavy mouthfeel.
A very nice barrel-aged stout with a huge bourbon presence throughout.

Pours a beautiful dark brown with some tan colored head. The aroma of bourbon is what first stands out when first poured but as I bring my glass to my nose, I am getting a lot of raisin. I am not sure how old this bottle is, unlike the Mooi & Meedogenloos I had, this is not dated. I am getting the sense that this might have undergone some oxidation though. The first sip of this is OH BOY. I think this is infected. It is quite sour. This is definitely not how this beer should be.

It still had huge chocolate notes and most of the original astringency from the roasted malts have settled along with the heat. The bourbon & oak nose is still there but flavor is simply smooth. (Cease & Desist Bourbon BA from 2015)

2011 Version thanks to my BA friend Eugene
A - Pours a deep dark ebony with large bubbled head that reduces quick
S - Vanilla and sweet malts
T - Sweet vanlla flavours with a touch of spice. Heavy wood flavours and bourbon
M- Full body and low carbonation
O - Maybe a little past its best but this is a monster beer

Pours black with a finger and a half of khaki foam. Head retention is great. Aroma is roasted, toasted, and nutted malts. There is a bit of bubblegum, which feels off. Caramel, and resiny, pine hops protrude through as well. Flavor profile is roasted, toasted, nutted, and caramel malts. Caramel, and toffee add a little to the sweetness which balances out the resiny, pine hops that start to show up as the beer finishes. There is still an off note of bubblegum, but it's minor. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a velvety feel. Overall, a hearty stout with good qualities. Malts are nice, with noticeable hops that add to the balance and experience.

Pour is black, with a bubbly, effervescent tan head. Nose is funky brett, cocoa, and fudge.
Taste is loaded with funky brett, which inexplicably melds really well with the chocolate flavors. This is a pleasure to drink.

2013 vintage poured from fridge temp. Pours dark brown with nice 1 inch head. The nose is the strong point in this beer. Blew me away. Big notes of bourbon, licorice, and molasses. The taste wasn't as good as the nose, but still good. I am getting a lot of sweetness, bourbon, caramel, licorice, slight bitterness, blackberries, cherries, and some candied sugar. The aftertaste is a bit sour, which is a bit off putting. The mouthfeel was a bit thinner than expected, but good. Alcohol heat was definitely present.

Poured to a teku glass.
A: The body is pitch black opaque with some coppery hues when seen against the light. The head is beige and very minimal, expected for the amount of alcohol present here.
S: The aroma is very rich of coffee, toffee, candy like profiles and roasted malts. No alcohol is noticed. Very well.
T: The taste is very rich in chocolate, creating a very good connection between the sweetness of coffee and toffee and the bitterness of the hops used here, even though they weren't that many. Interesting.
M: The mouthfeel is medium high to high. Carbonation is low and perfect. Bitterness is great because you get the bitterness of hops and the bitterness of dark chocolate. Great.
O: Nice things being done at De Molen.
