Giant, white head, color is a cloudy sunny-yellow. A large variety of aromas, malt, lime, grass, pine, sugar, grapefruit. Sweet, refreshing hoppiness is mainly defined by sweet, exotic fruits, going well along with sweet malts. Strong on limes and grapefruit, supported by a fitting, lower carbonation, which adds additional freshness. Beer stands in great balance between sweet fruits and bitter hops, underlined by sweet, warm malts. In addition to that a unique spiciness gives the beer a sharp peak. Beer is medium-bodied with a long bitter finish. Uncompromising bitterness is another notable aspect, which gets even more recognizable towards the end. Fruits, mainly defined by lime and grapefruit, do still underline the taste, while the malts get washed away by the bitterness - which results in a great tasting beer with a decent complexity.

Curious DIPA - full-bodied and more grassy/ less fruity than others. Interesting to try this a few days after De Molen's Open & Bloot, which is a totally different take on a DIPA.

Pours into an imperial nonic a lemon tinged honey color with a large bloominh white head,Iam thinking I should have went with a chalice or oversized wine glass here.Big leafy saaz hops in the nose along with some lemon rind and toasted grain,a hint of funk in there as well.Like a few others have noted much more like a hoppy saison than a dipa flavor wise, lemony and herbal flavors dominate, there is some deep fruity sweetness in there as well some more alcohol induced sweetness. Not bad but this seems much more of a northest Europe country ale than any American style dipa.

A: Pours a very cloudy orange with a good sized and dense off-white head. Fades at a moderate pace, leaving nice pillars of lacing behind. Final pour results in some dark solids, lots of chunks and floaties.
S: Lots of caramel and some raisin. Has a resinous sort of aroma along with a little herbal quality?
T: Lots of resin and caramel up front. Some sort of overripe fruit in the middle, like apple cider-ish. Finishes with a brief grassy hit, a little more herbal quality and resin. Just a little bit of bitterness.
M: Medium bodied, carbonation is a bit high but not horribly so.
O: Very strange DIPA. Only a little bitterness and a mild hop aroma/flavor. Very malty and some odd fruitiness. Not offensive but meh at best. Could be an old bottle but who knows, no indication of a date anywhere.
