De Zombier. En caliz La Trappe. Viendo Desencanto 1x02. No es la tipica tripel. Tiene notas como a mermelada con algo de oxidacion y un amargor superior a lo esperado. No obstante, se disfruta

A: Body iscoppery to orange, having medium to low haziness. Head is white, with good retention and lacing.
S: The aroma is very strong of belgian candi. There's some light malts roastiness and belgian yeast.
T: Taste starts off with a honey, belgian candi like flavour, being a little bit salty and tart. There's really no sweet flavours to this beer.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is a bit noticed but still great. Bitterness is low. Sweetness is high but no sweet flavours.
O: Great Tripel out of Belgium. This is one of the best Tripels I've ever had.

Dark brown and cloudy, copper with lots of particles floating in it. A finger of creamy, beige head.

Smells of pee, caramelised sugar, creme brulee, and standing barley.

Tastes radical in comparison to the nose. I get sweet and sour, alcohol like flames of fire, standing barley or fresh grains again. Also there's an aromatic, perfume like quality, in addition to an acrid, overdone, burnt out quality.

Medium, thick body, with alcohol burn, and moderate carbonation.

Got in Chiang Mai, drinking here March 23rd, 2017. Curiously interesting, by no means smooth, but good.

330ml bottle poured into a goblet.

Hazy brown amber hue with lots of tiny sediment floating in the texture, the pour yields one finger of foamy off-white head that stands for a while before sinking to some bubble sheet atop along with lots of sticky lacing patch on the glass-side.

Very malty in a nose with notes of sweet bread, nuttiness to caramel, some yeasty ester reminds me of ripe fruits in kind of pear, apple, and citrus. There are also touches of floral, honey, and slight spiciness.

Still malty as a backbone of the flavor, it is sweet, bready, and caramel. Fruity ester reveals thereafter ranging from pear, apple, and citrus. Touch of honey nicely discloses and same time with spiciness, herbal, and slight medicinal, at the final point, hop bitterness comes into play but it is just a ghost-like trace.

The body is rather full with smooth mouthfeel from its medium carbonation generated nicely crisp through the palate, dry finish.

Another good offering from De Molen, it is solid and quite complex Triple that hides alcohol very well even it is 9.2%.

33cl bottle. Pours a dark, murky orange with a white head that gives way to a sticky lacing. Smells of honey, citrus, flowers and yeast. The taste is quite interesting, malty sweetness, honey, a bit of lemon, soft herbal spices and a just bit too much alcohol.

330ml bottle from Whole Foods, Giffnock (£2.99):
A decent beer from De Molen, a lot sweeter than expect but with some earthy & floral hops too; bread malts, caramel & background fruits balance things out a little though. There was a few nice spices coming through & the beer had a nice alcohol kick too but I couldn't help but think it seemed a little bland & basic in a few areas, it could probably have been a whole lot better too. That being said, this was a nice beer & one that I enjoyed without it really doing enough to truly impress me.

Certainly a different kind of Tripel.Colour-wise it reminds me of the "Gulden Draak 9000".
And its fairly hoppy.
I really liked it.
