I had a 0.33l bottle of this at de Biertuin in Amsterdam on 20SEP17, for €5.50.

Poured a very rich orange/deep golden color, like jam. Had a frothy, off-white head, scattered, fine carbo, and nice lacing. Had a rindy, citrusy nose, which was decent. Body was medium, and it did not have much roughage on the tongue.

Flavor had lots of rindy, pithy hops, and was rather light on the malts, but had a touch of caramel. Was very heavy on the citrus, mostly grapefruit, but some tangerine, which led to a lot of bitterness. Finished on the dry side, this solid IPA did.... Prosit!

On-tap served in a snifter at Hair of the Dog, Bangkok.

Hazy deep copper amber hue, it comes with thick creamy off-white head that stands with good retention before slowly sinking to a long-lasting bubble film atop and leaving plenty of sticky lacing patch.

Mild fruity hop in a nose, citrus, tropical, ripe mango, as well as floral and grass. Malt is a good complement with its biscuit, candy, and sweet caramel.

The taste is quite balance between biscuit, candy, and caramel malt as a base of the flavor structure in order to support hop that provides notes of tropical, citrus, floral, grass, and moderate bitter end.

Medium body with some good crisp and moderate carbonation, smooth through the mouthfeel, the feeling is refreshing with a dry finish.

Pretty good showcase of balance IPA, hop and malt are harmoniously presented in good order.

On tap at Brouwcafe de Molen (Bodegraven, NL)

S: Floral. Peristently grassy. Grapefuit zest. Resinous pine. Light tropical fruit. Slight booze. Some phenol.

T: Zesty citrus. Resinous pine. Herbs. Biscuits. Bready malts. Dry-ish finish.

M: Medium-light bodied. Tongue-tickling carbonation. Some heat. Spritzy. Refreshing.

O: de Molen's flagship "Fire and Flame" IPA. This one definitely needs some time to warm up for some of the undesirables (phenol, malty sweetness) aromas to fade away, but is otherwise a no-nonsense pine/resin-forward American IPA. The bitterness hits you hard at first, but the nice malt backbone extinguishes that fire, just leaving behind a warming sensation at the back of your throat. Maybe that's why it's named "Fire and Flame."

L: Hazy amber/red color, one finger off white head, very good lacing, lots of carbonation.

S: Hops, malts, biscuit.

T: Hoppy, malty, biscuity. Bitter and malty aftertaste.

F: Very good carbonation pushes flavors to palate. Very drinkable.

O: Nice IPA from De Molen. Would gladly have it again.

33cl bottle. Dark orange, hazy, with a white head that leaves behind a creamy lacing. Dank, with notes of grapefruit, orange, green tropical fruit and caramel. Bitter and refreshing.

Drank in In De Wildman, poured to a teku glass.

A: The head is white to beige and three finger thick. The body is coppery, brownish with some yellowy hues.
S: The aroma profile is more resinous and a bit citric, but really soft.
T: The profile again is very resinous and with a soft thingy for citrus.
M: The bitterness is great and it leaves the mouth pretty dry in the back. Medium to high body.
O: My first De Molen, passed with distinction! Eager to try them all!
