Poured a medium gold, somewhat veiled. A beautiful white head lasted for the entirety of the trip. Good lacing made this beer good to look at for the duration.

There is a very slight perfumey aroma, along with subtle honey and white bread on the nose, as the nose goes further in the glass. It is quite faint, and probably would be delightful if I got a little more of it. As it stands, it's a somewhat muted bouquet.

Floral hops, grains, and a touch of honey are the first flavor impressions. By the end of it, there's some lemon, more flowers, and a little more tartness. The flavors are soft and delicate, and the increasing lemony presence was a welcome joy. A somewhat grating hop bitterness does battle with the citrus, and ends up lingering a bit after the sip. It is refreshing, clean-tasting, and sprightly.

Carbonation is there, and it glitters on the tongue. Combined with the creamy feel from the soft water, it is a nice balance. The slight astringency from that hop aftertaste sneaks in and tries to crash the party.

Though the aromas and flavors aren't intense, Torch is a nice beer. Occasionally, on some summer days, I enjoy having my mouth washed out by a solid Pilsner. This would be one to have in the cooler.

This is a solid pilsner. Clear light gold with a white head that leaves good banded lacing. The smell is floral with a nice malty sweetness. There is a nice hoppy scent present as well. The taste is the same as the nose with the sweet malt as the prominent flavor. The hop bitterness at the end is a perfect compliment to the sweetness. Nice carbonation and a lighter mouthfeel as expected.

12 ounce bottle - Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours out a crystal clear, golden body with an inch or two of fluffed whitish froth.

Smell: A little bit toasty atop the pilsner malts, scantly buttery and everso hinting of sweetness with some dried herbal, floral tones and touch of lemony citrus.

Taste: A lightly toasty, pilsner-y maltiness with some touches of biscuit dough. Softly sweet with a small drip of golden syrup. Herbal, cheerfully flowery hops with an ample hop bite and tone of lemon segments. Finishes fairly clean, fairly crisp and with a little residual bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Foothills presents a nice, easy-going, refreshing brew.

Drank from the 12oz bottle so can't judge the look.
Smell was rather generic. Almost like any other pilsner.
Tasted like your normal pilsner but with a little extra spice and a slight hoppy, bitter aftertaste. I am rather sensitive to the amount of bitterness in the aftertaste and this one is bareable. Bubbly but smooth.

Torch is a nice-looking pilsener: a giant creamy white head with reasonable retention sits atop a crystal-clear, effervescent pale gold beer, leaving fair rafts and blotches of lacing. The nose is light-medium in intensity: sugar cookie dough malt against a subdued backdrop of Noble hop spiciness, lemon notes and slight alcohol overtones; if the aroma itself (and the spicy hop character in particular) were a bit more pronounced, this would be a perfect nose for the style. On the palate, the spicy hops are more assertive, weighing a bit heavy in the balance against the lager-grainy malt foundation; the bitter lemon notes from the nose are present here as well, providing an interesting contrast to the spiciness of the hops. The finish is slightly hoppy with a nice carbonation bite, then washes clean; the hoppiness rebounds as a modestly bitter spicy/grassy hop linger that sticks around for a minute or two. The mouthfeel is biggish for the light body, and the texture is slightly creamy and quite peppery from the properly-expressed carbonation. Taken all around, this is a solid, well-executed Czech pilsener. (12 oz bottle, illegible code date)
