L - Black with red hues at the borders. Nice looking porter.
S - Sweet caramel with hints of roasted toffee.
T - Toasty malt, some hops, and ends with strong herbal tones.
F - Well bodied and substantial.

O - A very interesting porter. It has all the elements of a great beer: great color, amazing mouthfeel, and a unique hops and herbs taste. It is not the average generic porter. Will certainly get it again.

From a 12oz bottle. not dated. This is a wonderful heavier bodied porter, drinks more like a stout. This one can go head-to-head with anything I have had lately. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Almost exactly what I'm looking for in a porter, although it might be a tad thinner than I'd like.

12 oz bottle. Deep root beer brown, finger tan head fades slowly, little bit of lace. Nice mild roasty aroma, touch of vanilla. Taste is roasty as well, some burnt molasses, vanilla, espresso. Espresso bitterness lasts well into the dry finish. Mouthfeel is thin to medium. Overall pretty tasty porter, would drink again.

People's Porter pours to a thick, lingering creamy light-tan head atop an effervescent, turbid deep-brown body with dirty ruby highlights; lacing consists of moderate rafts and swoops. The nose is fairly assertive for the style: a nice blend of dark roasted malt flavors, predominately cocoa, dark toffee and bitter chocolate. Up front, the palate is tart, thinnish bitter milk chocolate; mid-palate, a significant toffee presence and a hint of sweetness build in, joined at the back by faint alcohol undertones. The finish is a brief flash of molasses and toffee, followed by the onset of a moderate chocolatey bitterness that lingers awhile. Mouthfeel is appropriate for the medium body, and the texture is slightly creamy and peppery from the fizzy carbonation. (12 oz bottle, 241 days after pkg.)

Dark roasted taste with delicious coffee and chocolate accents. If I can find this consistently, it could easily become a favorite.
