12oz. bottle poured into a tumbler glass
A- Clear Amber, nice off white head, with ample lacing. Typical IPA stuff here.

S- Lots of orange, with hints of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and a hint of cat pee (Simcoe).

T- Flash of biscuity malt sweetness, then the tropical hops hit. Orange, mango, pineapple, guava. Dankness from the simcoe. Flavors are very good, I just with they popped more.

M- Medium bodied, and very nicely dry.

O- a very good IPA that strives to be excellent.

This beer looks like a proper American IPA: a clear, slightly sparkling just-past-deep-gold body capped by a thick, off-white rocky head that festoons the glass with lacing. On the nose, it is characteristically hoppy: a nice blend of citrus, florals and pine that is moderately intense for the style. The hops flavors dominate the palate up front, with a significant hops bitterness setting in midway, and some biscuity, slightly sweet malt peeking around the edges. The finish is quite smooth; an appropriately strong clinging hop bitterness sets in for the long haul seconds later. The lively carbonation provides the medium body with a slightly creamy, prickly mouthfeel that is a nice counterpoint to the bitterness, which is a fair bit north of middlin' for the style. Job well done.

I love this heavily-hopped brew from the NC Piedmont. Both Piney and fruity, It tastes like bottled maryjane :)

Cloudy orange color with slight lace.. A/T pine, orange, slight bready malt.. The hops are unbalanced with the malt.. The bitterness finishes harsh without much malt to follow.. It's ok but I would never get this IPA again.
