I bought this in support of a local brewery, and in search of new, good IPAs.

This is not one of them. For my tastes, this is the worst of what hops are about, nothing but bitter hops.

It looks great on the pour, with a nice deep amber colour. This is an unfiltered beer and mine has lots of floaters noticeable. The smell is indicative of what's to come, resinous and sharp with the hops. Taste is all hops, nothing special or floral or outstanding except the bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice enough, well carbonated but not so much to overpower the somewhat thick texture of this unfiltered brew.

I'd still drink this over the big AALs, but that still isn't saying much.

Butterscotch pale to amber with moderate, persistent white head and lacing.

Aroma is fruity (grapefruit) piney hops with mild malt.

Taste is mild sweet malt with moderately high bitterness that lingers. Pineapple, grapefruit and piney earthiness.

Medium body with moderately high carbonation and mild ethanol warmth.

Nice, solid IPA. Well balanced with a lot of Simcoe hops, like a lot of American IPAs these days.

12 oz.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a yellowish white fluffy head which retains well.

Smells of fresh piney and floral hops over some biscuity malt.

Tastes of biscuity malts with piney bitter hops.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

A pretty good flavorful IPA that drinks easy, but comes across a little boring in the taste. That aside, not bad and worth a try.
