Poured from a 12oz bottle with a bottled on date of 9/30/19; into a pint glass.
Appearance- clear and gold like apple juice, some bubbles hold a very thin white head. Lacing is surprisingly decent.
Smell- delightful citrus and floral hop aroma!
Taste - decadent grapefruit and tropical fruit (pineapple and mango) flavor profile, with just a slight malt backing!
Feel - bitter, flavorful and extremely easy drinking!
Overall- very tasty, fruitful and spot on mouthfeel, but doesn’t necessarily separate a lot from the pack.

Big huge thanks to Wil for sending me one of my favorites from NC! Jade is a beauty of a beer. 24kt gold in color, it glimmers, while a few streams of carbonation swirl to the surface. The dirty white head is silky on the pour but becomes craggy and rocky as it settles. The foam has an eggshell sheen and leaves chunky lacing clung to the glass.
The nose on this beer is so unique. It's all sorts of jammy upfront, both orange and grapefruit. That's always inviting but the uniqueness comes in the form of a very floral, almost perfume driven, hoppiness that joins the jam. There are even exotic tea like qualities present. This unique hoppiness is draped over a bready and softly sweet caramel backbone. Inviting, to say the least.
As floral as the nose is, the flavor profile is as resinous. It's resinous upfront before being joined by the jamminess mentioned above. The citrus brightens from jam to pith as it moves through and those floral qualities open up on the backend. The hop profile is both expressive and deep. Again, that is all draped over a sturdy, bready malt backbone with a kiss of caramel sweetness. Soft, clean alcohol adds a peppery bite.
The feel of this IPA is that of wrapping yourself in velvet. The body is plush and luxurious but never heavy or cloying, as a matter of fact it dries up very well on the swallow. Bitterness never extends beyond moderate and lingers until the next drink. Drinkability is off the charts like most of Foothills offerings. Thumbs up.
Jade is a great IPA from the folks at Foothills. It's unique in nearly every aspect but the nose really sets it apart from other IPAs. Great balance, depth, dryness, and lingering bitterness make this a winner in my book. Thanks again, Wil!

Pours very clear like apple juice. I can't remember the last time I poured an IPA so clear. The nose is deep in thick hops as is the taste. This beer is crisp and clean with a very quick ending finish.

Somewhat hazy light golden hued with a quarter inch thick head of white frothy foam. Brussels lacing. Gentle pine like hop aroma. There's definitely a prevalent pine like hop flavor. This is a great everyday IPA. Mouth is sticky and the bitterness prickles the tongue. Front of the palate is a gentle pine hop burn followed by a nice light malt backbone and a gentle hop burn on the fade.

Poured a deep hazy yellow with a two finger frothy head that quickly dissipated to a thick film. Aroma is tropical citrus and pineapple. Initial light malt with a burst of tropical citrus and balanced piney hops on the finish. The feel is a bit thick but still in the moderate range with medium carbonation. While this is very refreshing, it is not crisp. This is a great balanced IPA that is very drinkable. The brew hides the higher ABV well.
