Poured the night before the BASC release from a firkin into a Foothills pint glass.  It was tapped several hours before I ordered my glass, so it was served quite warm.

A: Pours a slightly hazy apricot color with a small white head.  Despite the modesty of the head, it dissipated slowly, leaving a good amount of lacing behind.

S: Quite citrusy (mainly grapefruit and tangerine), nice floral hops, and slightly piney.  Lacking a bit of complexity, but the characteristics that are there smell great and seem to be well-balanced.

T: Much like the smell, tropical fruit up front ... grapefruit, tangerine, and maybe a touch of apricot.  Pine resin is a bit more pronounced in the taste than it was in the aroma.  Slightly malty, adding a bit more body and a touch of complexity to the taste.  Pretty bitter at the finish.

M: On the lighter side of medium-bodied with very little carbonation.  I would have liked to see just a bit more carbonation to keep it lively and help accentuate the flavors.  Creamy with just enough life to stir up the luke-warm liquid.  Nice drying finish.

D: Although this was served somewhat warmer than I would have liked, it was very drinkable and quite tasty.  Not a whole lot of complexity, but done well and tasty.

Dry hopped with Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, and Simcoe hops. Served from firkin into a shaker. Poured a murky yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, lemon zest, sweet hop, and cat piss (not in a bad way). The flavor was of sweet malt, earthy, lemon zest, sweet hop, and bitter hop. It had a light feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a pretty nice brew. The dry hopping treatment definitely added a very nice complex aspect to this beer for sure. The hops were definitely the star of the show on this brew without doubt. Pretty good aroma going on here as well. This is a must try if you have the opportunity to do so. Tick.
