I don't understand the low rating. This is delicious and pleasant.

Described as a "cream ale", not in my humble estimation. Light in look and taste. Lots of lace on sides of glass. IBU is 15, but again in my estimation bitter than a 15. A decent session or "lawn mower" beer but nothing to crow about.

12 oz.

Pours a clear light straw gold with a sugar white head at about a quarter inch, retains indefinitely.

Smells of bright barley malts with hints of citrus and corn.

Crisp barley malt flavor with a dry biscuit undertone, finishes with faint dry hops.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

This is just a very standard, flavorful lagery cream ale, and as that it is the best I've ever had. As a beer overall it's somewhat boring and isn't going to compete with any great beers out there, but for what it is, I honestly don't think you can do better. It's very sessionable, goes down incredibly easily, and would pair well with a wide range of foods while also tasting good enough to drink on its own. This is something I'd want to have a case of at the beach. Based on those observations, I would consider this beer to be very underrated.

This beer is good for what it is; a light easy drinking cream ale. It stays firmly within the style, so anyone expecting anything other than a lawnmower beer should look elsewhere, but this beer accomplishes what it sets out to do.

The beer is crystal clear with good carbonation, not much nose, and a slightly bready clean malt flavor.

On tap at Fox and Hounds, Raleigh.
Pours a pale golden yellow color, with an inch of white foam. Head fades to a thin cap, leaving a spider web of lace.
Smells of some malt sweetness, and a bit lemony, minimal hops.
Grainy malt taste, with some mild lemon at the end. Mild bitterness at the end.
Mouth feel is on the lighter side, medium body, crisp and clean aftertaste.
Overall, well balanced and easy to drink beer, fits the style.

Straw colored, decent inch or so of head that diminishes but never really goes away. Smells bready. Tastes metallic. Just... metallic. Pretty one note. Not a pour-out, but wouldn't order again.
