Skillfully hopped with Amarillo, Willamette and Magnum hops, LOW DOWN is brewed with North American, German and British malts. A hint of oats for roundness and silky goodness makes this one profound American Brown.

Thanks Damien.
This was poured into a glass mug.
The appearance was a semi-murky amber to brown color with a sly finger's worth of white foamy head dissipating at a mild rate. Some lace speckled the glass fairly nice.
The aroma captured some soft sweet nuts, somewhat like pecans with some caramel/toffee malts riding in underneath. Light grassy hops and a touch of toast come together with a light dose of mineral water.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a gentle nutty presence, lightly hopped then a light element of toast. Mild aftertaste of nuts, grassiness and some earthiness.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Semi-smooth nutty finish.
Overall, pretty good English brown ale I could come back to if offered.

LOOK: Deep brown with amber hues. White soapy head leaves lacing down the glass after every sip. There is a murk to the beer, which is allowable in the brown ale style. Free of sediment.
SMELL: Iron well water in the smell, very strong mineral, seems to be hard water and hops in the aroma. Im a bit sensitive because of a lake house in Michigan growing up. Warming up there is a considerable amount of malty caramel.
TASTE: Mildy nutty, with some grassy, earthy hop character. Malt and hops work together here and the mineral element in the smell is less so in the taste. Just a hint of toast or roasted malt smokiness. Delicate bitterness and finishes with a hint of sweetness. Agreeable and in line with the style.
FEEL: Full bodied without being too heavy, spot on medium to high carbonation. The nutty little finish makes the beer very moreish and drinkable.
OVERALL: A drinkable beer for sure. The taste is good and its smooth. I could easily drink a few of these while conducting outdoor activities.

Had on tap. Opaque dar brown with a tan head. Caramel, nuts, brown sugar, earth, and malts in the nose. Taste takes all of that plus minerals and a touch of pine on the finish, but honestly found it to diverge from style in a distracting fashion. Feel is light, malty up front, sneaky hoppy out back, smooth and crushable.

This thing was super lame, very dry, biscuity, lots of burnt traits in here, not like a smokey kind, but more like bitter, acrid flavors. Aroma doesnt present anything particularly special. I was really hoping for a mildly sweet roasty brown, but this is just like an amber ale really.
Its got plenty of bitterness thats for sure, but its missing the malt balanced that it needs.
