A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sourness are present in the nose. There are some hints of fruits such as apples and lemons.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some sour flavors of apples and lemons along with hints of saltiness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a simple and pleasant gose. The aromas and flavors won't blow you away, but it is very easy to drink.

This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a subtle crisp dried looking orange to yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising to fill a one finger white foamy head that dissipated fairly quickly. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell started off with a big burst of lemon, lime and citrus rind. The taste, pretty much, copied the smell. It had a light tartness about it along with the sourness as well and had a dry sweet citrus to semi-tart aftertaste running into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a big sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good and low, and got slightly sticky in the feel. Overall, I liked it for me, but don’t necessarily see it as a gose as it was pretty weak on the "salt" flavor.

A- This one pours an orange color with golden hues and some honey tinge....it is very much yeast hazed and only semi-translucent. The head starts out about one finger in thickness but quickly retreats to a smallish ring around the glass. Carbonation appears to be lumbering up to the top of the liquid and the lacing is pretty weak as well....interesting to say the least.

S- Apple/lime zest, with sweet caramel malt yet floral, spicy almost like a farmhouse ale, but more aromatic.....yeasty and tart is probably the best way to explain this one.

T- This is most refreshing with huge tartness, but I wouldn't call it sour. Plenty of sour notes coming from citrus rind, unsweetened lemonade or of a properly made margarita....somewhat salty to go with the citrus. There are hints of yeasty spice.....its very clean and palate cleansing.

M/O- Light bodied and the carbonation provides a crisp, clean profile. The more I have of this, the more I like it and find it highly drinkable. This would be excellent with something oily, spicy or sticky sweet, as it would cut through almost anything. I recommend it and think it makes a very nice example of the style!

Golden colour, small head that fades soon leaving some lace. Aroma of lemon, salt, fruits, hints of coriander. Light body, good carbonation. Taste is sour, lemon salt, fruits. Not for all palates.

A - Beautiful golden yellow, clear with a slight white head, lots of lacing.

S - Apple flesh, skin, slight brine, hint of grain.

T - Delivers, with bright fruit, slight hit of salt, and mild bready malt. Tasty.

M - Brisk, clean, with a bit of residual drying from the salt.

O - I like Goses, and this is a very well made one. The nose is surprisingly welcoming, the flavors clean. The feels is a bit harsh, but it is a minor quibble.

375ml bottle - whew, this summer of sour beers is really starting to take its toll on me!

This beer pours a clear, medium golden amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and fizzy dirty white head, which leaves a bit of microbe colony lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of lemon/lime zest, grainy wheat malt, damp saltine crackers, coriander and white pepper spice, and a small hint of earthy and floral hop bitters. The taste is bready and slightly doughy pale malt, a lesser edgy wheatiness, mixed citrus rind, sour cream, raw sea salt, muddled earthy spice (coriander, I suppose), and more herbal, leafy, and gently floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite active in its thorough, palate-engaging frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and actually fairly smooth, maybe just the saltiness feeling a touch weird and out of place at this juncture. It finishes off-dry, the fruity and malt essences tangling with the lingering spiced and salty notes.

Overall, this is a pleasant enough version of the style, with the adjuncts coming together to provide a solid, refreshing summertime brew. Nothing dominates, and balance is achieved, which is no small thing in today's take no tastebud prisoner world.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy deep yellow. Tops up with a generous foam of head; a fast dissipation leaving no real lace or surface foam.

Aromatics: lemony-orange candy that has a bit of cough drop mixed in; tangerine citrus sweet and tart florals at the same time with some nods at the saltiness and just a hint of some spice (coriander-like)

Taste: Lightly salted lemon wedge that has been mixed into a lightly carbonated soda water with fresh wheat that keeps the sourness in check really nicely. Tapers off into a flat and non-descript zingy flavour - closest think I can relate it to would be tangerine rind without the bitter peel flavour in it. And just as quickly as the flavours hit they disappear cleanly without no real aftertaste.

Mouth: Can hold it’s own as a middleweight, carbonation is not really visible but it’s there giving it a great crisp snap with plenty of tongue tingle before it departs. There is a really tangy and tartness that doesn’t quite approach sour, and it has a fairly abrupt finish with not much left to linger on the palate.

Overall: This is my second Gose, I have a couple more in the fridge I plan to get to this week so I can have a good overall view of the style, but this one I liked quite a bit. It is a great drinking beer, I loved the crispness and the light saltiness was well integrated. And I feel with this one the salt character is not the focal point as much as the slight sour tartness is, which makes it that much more enjoyable for me because I love sours, and this one does a really decent job.

Pairing: I think this one has enough tang and carbonation that a nice seafood offering would be a good way to go - seared ahi tuna with a good spice-mix crust on it - a good sea salt or pink salt blended with dried chilis, dill, basil, garlic and onion powder, and a thee corn blended pepper. Or try a nice seafood ravioli (or spaghetti with crab/seafood as your protein) smother in a creamy Italian white sauce - a creamy carbonara or alfredo style sauce would be perfect.
