Interesting selection of 14 beers on tap. Also, a selection of bottles and cans that includes a couple of Russian River brews and other rarities. Did not try the food. but looks like a comfortable place for a meal.

Corner bar with gritty charm, one of those places that's been around for a while and hasn't needed to change. Good tap selection, with a nitro line and a hand pump cask. Some bottles and cans. Service is fine, and prices are decent. As people have noted, get there for the 4-6 happy hours: 1/2 price draughts and apps. The food menu is limited, but they have some good items. I've only had the burger, and it was good, though maybe not $15 good.

It's a cool place worth checking out if you find yourself outside of the main bustle of Center City. You can make a pub crawl out of it if you feel like walking off some calories...POPE, Taproom on 19th, Bottle Shop, ARS, Second District, all within reasonable walking distance. And Brew is right across the street, for your take-home bottle/growler and coffee needs.

SPTR is a great neighborhood bar, cozy but not crowded. Very well rounded selection of beer all of which are top choices. Only negative is a relatively small food selection, however the choices are all excellent.

This place was a a little to pretentious for me. Maybe I wasn't wearing the right outfit or something, but waited forever for service at the bar. The food was average at best.

This is my go to place. The atmosphere is laid back & welcoming, the food is OUTSTANDING. The tap list is always eclectic & well rounded. The staff is very helpful & friendly. A very cozy place with not the biggest bar but has plentiful mix of high top & low tables throughout the space. Great place to sit outside on a warm night & sample the tap list. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The South Philly Tap Room is a nice cozy corner bar deep in the heart of, huh, South Philly. In the middle of a residential area, not far from East Passyunk but removed from all the brouhaha.

This is truly a neighborhood tavern, cozy and inviting. Not too busy on a Friday night, quiet enough. We sat across from the bar on a low-lying table and enjoyed the view.

12 taps plus a nitro (Old Chubb) and a cask (PBC Newbold): Union Jack, Hairy Eyeball, Allagash White, Dogfish Noble Rot, Dieu du Ciel... nothing outrageous, but good enough (I had a Fernet Branca).

Brews go for $6-$8 a glass. Bottles: Abbaye des Rocs, Bruery Bois, Deschutes Conflux #1, Mikkeller Walk on Water. Pretty nice... and some good food as well- I just had a Wild Goose oyster with blood orange and ginger mignonette ($2) and a head-cheese taco ($1). This ain't your average chicken-wing joint! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well.

I was a little underwhelmed by the draft selection, but loved the place and the food and the atmosphere and would totally come back.

This is a really cool place to hang out. It a bit out of the downtown district, so you get much more of a local crowd. The tap handles are all mini chalk boards which is fun and innovative. They have a beer cooler for bottles next to the bar. We went two nights in a row when visiting town.
