Finally getting around to that one. 750ml corked and caged bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.

Amazing looking color. The dregs look like straight up berry melange pulp. Aroma if Brett, blueberry, cherry and raspberry. Tart with a peat-y, oaky overtone. Flavor is of dense blueberry and raspberry sweetness. Lightly tart with a big, juicy pucker. Brett presence makes itself known towards the middle. There's a touch of diacytal butter but its minimal at this point. This beer's really cleaned up well. Sweet with a spritzy, almost champagne-like tartness at the finish. Body is light with plenty of carbonation. Again, vinous in the mouth. Aggressive going down with a dry, filmy finish that really hangs to the palate.

Overall, I think this beer could still use a year or so for the butter aspect to completely fall off. As is though, the fruit component is hugely dominant with just the right amount of tartness. A really good beer already.

750 mL bottle. Bright red body. Nice pink head. Smell is oak, berry, and some yogurt. Really nice. Taste is a generic berry. I get a lot of blueberry, though. Oak. Lemon sourness. Medium body. Well carbonated. This one is more reminiscent of older variants. This one is more akin to the plum variant, which I really liked. The fruits add rather than detract.

Pour is dark ruby/purple, mostly clear with a light pink head. Nose is much more fruit forward than the others, still a bit off, lots of dark berries, waxy, some oak and funk. Taste is overly waxy, fruits seem unripened and new, tart, green, light funk. Nicely carbed, a bit juicy, lighter body.

On tap at Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport during the release the 3rd Grrrz release.

This one pours a slightly dark purplish red, with a one inch foamy head, and a little bit of lacing.

This one smells like sour cherries, and sour blueberries, with some light funk, and moderate acidity on the nose.

This is a super juicy Grrrz variant. With some time, the lighter level of funk will probably increase, and become more of a star player here. The blueberries and cherries are definitely strong here, neither one exactly outperforms the other. I'm not exactly sure what aroniaberries taste like, so I can't really comment if the flavor is strong. I get a sort of blackberry flavor here, too, which might be the aronia berries. There's a slight bit of oak, too.

This is medium bodied, with a super juicy mouthfeel, and a moderate level of carbonation.

Another really nice Grrrz variant, this seems to have improved since the 2nd release, where people were saying it wasn't great.

Served on-tap at the Grrrz bottle release. I think this could use some time in a bottle to condition as it has some band-aid like aromas and flavors from the draft.

Bottle shared by Frank. Melange looks insanely beautiful in color, a nice darker red shade with not a whole lot of bubbles on top, yet at this young stage. This version of Grrrz contains aroniaberries, blueberries & cherries and the scent is fruited out and very pungent. Melange brings the fruit up front, it packs a punch. A lot of cherry coming through with aroniaberries & blueberries mixing in to make for a delicious drink A soft tart bite with some oak mixed in. A bit of a heavier body than most grrrz's i've had and i suspect this will get nice and tarter when the bottles are ready.
