Pours dark copper with big white head. Pretty good looking stuff actually. Smell - not bad either - malts, hops, some caramel on the back. Taste - yeast, hops, malts, some spices. Very simple beer, but still pretty good, refreshing, light and drinkable.

12oz bottle.

Poured a deeper amberish-orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, some citrus, and a little biscuity. Tastes of caramel and some citrus. Also has an overall graininess to it. Body was on the thinner side as were the tastes.

MOre than descent. This is orbably the only MExican ale remining in the country which is not an attempt of a clon. I liked it a lot and probably the name "MExican Red ale" goes too far but the conception is good. Everybody liked even thy are not used to the taste.

Twelve-ounce bottle just copped from New Beer Distributors on Chrystie Street in Manhattan...
Appearance: A hefty pour yielded a dark-brown, ruddy, tawny hue with a decent-sized foamy and frothy head that exhibited adequate staying power...
Smell: Dark-brown malts, caramel abound...
Taste: Mild flavor... Hints of brown malts, caramel, vanilla...
Light-bodied mouthfeel...
Overall, a very refreshing and thirst-quenching brew, but certainly nothing above and beyond...
Not bad...

This beer is a nice tryout.

It has a strong dark red color, and a nice aroma of hops and malts.

Taste is very good, roasted malts like the aroma. Mouthfeel is perhaps a little watery at the end.

Nice for sunny days, it is very refreshing, definetly a session beer, very godd drinkability.

Bottle bought at Union Jack's in Glenside, PA. Pours very clear and reddish brown, with a fleeting head that;s gone in minutes. Smells sweetly of caramel and dandelions, some ethanol, some unfermented malt. Taste is oddly bitter and overly sweet, with some phantom bitterness hanging around. vague hop grassiness, though swamped by the sweet malt. Poorly carbonated. Not really all that good. Also, id call this an american amber.

Served in a mug... the color was exceptional but the great foam didn't last that much. Flavor was greatand it felt pretty smooth. Smell was exceptional too (some roasted toffee and caramel).

The bottle comes properly labeled and overall I felt it was a very well done beer.

I recommend it.

Brownish red ale with a quickly fading head.Aroma is caramel and toffee.Taste is caramel, chocolate and coffee.A decent fresh ale that doesn't dissapoint. It is smooth enough that you can drink 5 or 6 at a sitting.I would recommend to at least give it a try!!
