This joint is my home course and the prices are good. Huge selection but lately been tailing off with the higher-end Belgiums. Good prices and a breeze to shop around. I hit this huge store up at least once weekly. Someone tell these guys to bring back St. Bernardus 12.

Good selection, and definitely the best in the area for imports. Staff is pretty hit or miss with some much more knowledgeable than others. Have been told there is no list for a new release and then been told I needed to be on the list when it came out before.

I've driven past the Evil Clown hundreds of times but never thought to stop in. Last time I drove past, however, I saw a giant sign advertising GROWLERS so I had no choice but to check it out. I was very happily surprised that this unassuming looking building, which was probably a supermarket at some point, was filled with microbrews from all over the world.

If you've been to one of the other Spirits Unlimited stores, this one is most similar in layout to the one down by Shrewsbury, except they've added the Growler Station. They had a nice selection for a new tap - I remember Stone Arrogant and Dale's Pale being among the selections.

Customer service I can't comment on other than everyone was pleasant; I didn't really seek out anyone's advice. Nobody was manning the Growler Bar but then again, nobody was waiting there to buy anything.

The selection is overwhelming. That's really the only word I have for it. I was expecting far less. Pretty much all the major microbrews are represented at a lower price than anywhere else around here. The harder to find ones I like weren't here like Alpha Dog and Two Hearted but they have Racer 5 cheaper than anywhere else and that's good enough for me.

I didn't notice whether there is a build-your-own-six-pack offered there, I'm pretty sure there isn't.

I can't wait for something I love to pop up at the Growler Bar. Nothing better than taking a fresh one home. Beer, that is.

Also known as Circus Spirits, because of the Giant 1950's era Metal Clown Sign at the Entrance (you can't miss it).
To give you an idea of the size of this store, I believe it used to be a Supermarket.

They recently did a little renovation (new coolers) and moved some things around. Along the right wall there is a huge variety of Belgium and other Imports. 22oz, 16oz cans from Britain, 6 Packs, etc. A beautiful selection. Across from that there is a warm section of Micros. All 6 packs from a lot of different breweries. It seems like every time I go there are more and more choices. Along the entire back wall is their refrigerated beers. Some macros but again, lots of Micros. Prices are very reasonable with several micros on specia, which is rare. They tend to be the first ones to get their hands on limited release beers.

If you are in the area and in need of some good beer, there is no better place.

This is one of four "Spirits Unlimited" in the Red Bank, Middletown area that I've visited, and it is definitely my second favorite. The store is large and has a large selection of beer in cases, singles, six packs and even a few mini-kegs (e.g., DAB, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen). There's a long shelf along the far side from where you walk in with a pretty good selection of imports and american micros. What I liked was the presentation and organization of the beer, which placed imports with their American counterparts so you can easily compare different offerings of the same beer style. The coolers are along the back wall and include cold versions of what's on the shelf as well as your standard Macros. They have good prices for the area and their selection is better than most.
