Formerly known as: Ruedrich's Red Seal Ale

Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal is generously hopped for a long, spicy finish. An excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and rich sauces.

12oz brown bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester. Pours a hazy light amber-red body with a good inch of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma consists of equal parts pungent sweet caramel-honey maltiness and crisp citrussy American hops. Wow. Tastes sweet and malty initially, with caramel, honey, and slight biscuit notes, with a fair bit of support from grassy and citrussy American hops and a semi-dry finish. On the lighter side of medium-bodied with a fair bit of carbonation which is just subtle enough to enhance the drinkability. Super-drinkable, though not so much so that any of the other attributes, most notably flavor, take a back seat. Unbelievable. Practically perfect in every imaginable way. Tastes to me like home-brewing smells. For the style and for any beer, this is about as perfect as they come - it's the first perfect '5' I have ever given. Amazing.

12oz bottle. Label has the date code of '31120911'. Purchased at the North Coast store in Fort Bragg.
Clear, medium amber colored body. One finger of off white head. Leaves behind partial rings of lacing.
Aroma of toasted bread malts and floral hops with a bit of spice.
Taste has sharp caramel malts that also expresses toasted bread. Spice and floral flavors from the hops. Has a definite bitter note at the end, but sweet before that. Piney hops in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with a smooth texture. Slight metallic note. Very good carbonation.
Smooth and sharp are both included in the experience.

Pours a clear copper color with a nice, thick foam head.

Aroma is malty with a little hops in the background.

Taste is very well balanced between the malt and hops, with a nice little touch of caramel. A clean, crisp finish.

This is quite refreshing and delicious.

O - Really tasty red ale.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tumbler style pint glass.

Fine looking beer, very clear rich amber pour with 2 inches of dense, and persistent off-white foam. Leaves lace. The nose has a sharp but mellow floral hoppiness along with bread malt aroma which comes across more toasty in the tasting. The sharp floral hop also comes through in the flavor with a touch of woody character. Clean finish. The body seems light but smooth and creamy with just enough carbonation so that is never developed a crisp bite.
A fine example of an unsung style that leaves you wanting another.

Bottle code: 20870718 = July 18, 2022 (first number is last number of year, last four are month and date)

Pours slightly cloudy, coppery amber; off white heady, has both great retention and lacing.

Nose is a rich and toasty malt; some yeast driven fruitiness, moderate spicey and woodsy hops.

Taste confirms the rich malt presence, slight toasted quality; the hops are very present with a pepper like bite.

Light body, but nice and full; yet maintains a very high level of drinkability, the carbonation is creamy like in quality, nice hop bitterness on the finish, tongue prickling in nature.

I really enjoy this beer.

12oz bottle, I don't know how to read the code. Opened 1-13-22.
2 finger off white head with excellent retention. Copper and clear body. Full web of lacing. Caramel, earthy aroma with a light hebal hop backing. Starts of with a toasty caramel sweetness followed by a leafy hoppiness that is a very nice combo. Medium body and carbonation with a lengthy finish. Superb balance and excellent drinkabilty for my palate. Very Good to Outstanding.
