Pours a hazy orange with a bubbly white head that sticks around for a while. Looks good in the goblet. Good Belgian smell and taste. Candi sugar, Belgian yeast, cardamon, black pepper, touch of banana and a faint touch of citrus. Its all in there!!

Mouthfeel is rich, with a hint of alcohol that is quite pleasant. Drinkability is good for this level of alcohol. A nice Belgian Strong Pale Ale!!

Beautiful golden-orange with an eggshell colored head about a finger high. Does not stay for long but was momentarily picturesque.

Nice bready malt and spice in the aroma. Some orange zest as well, and an interesting cooked meat smell that may actually be a spice or herb that my mind is associating with beef. Whatever it is is not unpleasant, and I don't think I've smelled it in beer before.

A nice hop spice flavor, and some more of that cooked meat also. I'm tarting to think it's the variety of hop used, as it's beginning to feel earthy and skunky. I'm using that word in a positive light. Light fruitiness in the back with a not very bitter almost sweet finish.

Very carbonated, almost effervescent, with a nice light body for a biggish beer.

Interesting and enjoyable are adjectives that come to mind here.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a wine glass, not sure of the freshness.

This pours a cloudy light golden color, with white head which doesn't seem to have good retention. The smell is a little bit of funk, some fruity notes like banana. Feel is medium with good carbonation. The taste is a little sweet, some banana, its a little earthy, a little spice and pepper and it finishes with a mild hop bite and some dryness, some complexity there. Overall this is a fine American Belgian, I like the Ommegang BPA a little more but this is a brew which I'd definitely get again.
