Crafted by North Coast Brewing Co., Pranqster is a Belgian style Golden Ale.

The smell of Belgian yeast and pear is noted. Floral scents are noticed as well. The malty body gravitates the golden ale characteristic.

The flavor of the Belgian yeast dominates the beer. Pear is a nice compliment to the yeast. Green apple is light, and waters and sweetens the drink. Banana gives the beverage some weight and complexion to the body.

Clove provides a pleasing spice to the beer. A faint bitterness is felt in the finish. Each giving the yeast a different experience every time you drink.

Pranqster is an incredible Belgian style Golden Ale. The pear and green apple draws out the golden Ale flavor. The yeast is rich and creamy. North Coast Brewing Co. outdid themselves. Stylized so well to the exemplary Belgian standard, the beer speaks for itself.

Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer.

Poured from 12oz short bottle into Snifter glass. No date.

L: Hazy light gold, with a half finger white head that fades into a thick ring.

S: Lots of Belgian yeast.

T: Again a lot of Belgian yeast, some fruitiness and spice. Some graininess, and warming alcohol.

F: Medium body, super crisp Belgian carbonation, drying grain.

O: Pretty solid beer.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A-pours a golden hazy color with a white head doesn't linger for long.
S-Lots of yeast, some banana, lemon and pine in the smell.
T-Malty sweetness, Banana, nutmeg, and a sweet peppery flavor.
M- On the heave side with a creamy body but still very crisp and refreshing.
O-Great Belgian that I would definitely buy again and again.

This beer pours a nice, fairly clear, golden color. Minimal white head, but nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose has a nice rich malt smell. There's also a hint of sweetness to it.
The taste is pretty complex. It starts off a bit mellow. Hardly there. Then it starts kicking in with a malt and sweetness that you taste, and feel all the way down.
This is a very full bodied beer. No watery feeling at all. Nice feel of the carbonation bubbles going down.
Damn delicious overall. So glad I decided to buy it, and try it. Solid beer.

I have always liked this one and finally have a chance to rate it.

Look- Cloudy yellow/gold. There is thin white head around the rim of the glass, and the top of the brew is always in motion from the bubbles underneath.

Smell- Malty, tangy and just a whiff of clove.

Taste- Higher marks than aroma because the smell could be a bit more pungent, if I had my way. There is a bittersweet, spicy maltiness that dominates immediately. The clove aspect at just the right balance for this beer. There is also just a touch of banana. The bitterness Is pretty mild. I would classify the strength as medium.

Mouthfeel- Very smooth. Not much of a bite. The aftertaste is pretty malty, clovey and pleasant.

Overall- A great example of the style. I have had some that were stronger, ( and I prefer strong tasting beers.) That being said , I really enjoyed it. I have paired it with baklava in the past, as was suggested by an online recommendation, and it was a perfect combination. This is definitely the best Belgian Ale available in my area. I will definitely buy it again.

The appearance has a hazy orange slightly golden looking colored body with less than a half fingered white foamy head that quickly dies within a half a minute. The smell has Belgian yeastiness up front with a nice allocation of spices to compliment the aroma. The taste is spicy yet somewhat sweet and a nice complimentary sort of under-shadowed sort of "sweet" tones to give a very nice sort of spicy/sweet/dry aftertaste with a quick dry finish. The palate has a light to medium body and provides a decent sessionability that could definitely go with its respected food. Carbonation is good for a Belgian Strong Ale. Overall, I’d have this one again and would absolutely love to put this up with its respected food.

Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head. Smells of esters, yeast, and some malt. Tastes of slight banana esters and Belgian yeast. Medium creamy body with medium carbonation. This is one of the better Belgian pale's that ive had and I'm not usually a fan of the style.
