Hazy bright yellow-orange color with tons of visible carbonation. Big and fluffy white head sits on top and dissapates slowly leaving a good amount of lacing with it. Bright citrusy, flowery notes meet the nose with hints of coriander and peppery notes. Light amount of floral and herbal hops in the background as well. Not bad.

Not too much or too little in any aspect of the taste. Medium body that lets peppery notes come to the forefront and then recede for fruity citrusy tones to come forward. Not quite juicy as it remains pretty dry throughout, coming into a clean and effervescent finish. Coriander lends a big hand in the flavor, providing that peppery bitterness. The hops are light but perfectly balancing in the back, not outdoing the pepper and citrus notes. Healthy hint of alcohol in the breath, hiding well but still a part of the profile. Definitely a uniqueness here that is most likely from the yeast strains used to give it that extra Belgian flourish.

Good beer here, nothing out of this world to me, but a well balanced Belgian style gold ale that is easy to drink but still complex.

Foggy light orange color with a thin wisp of foam ring on top. In a snifter glass.

Coriander, orange marmalade, white pepper, and a hint of green tea. Yeasty.

Very peppery bite on the initial sip. Followed by booze and orangey sweetness. Then, more booze for extra warmth. Spicy for the style. The sugars represent themselves in the finish. There is an overpowering carbonation, that is seriously heavy-duty and unexpected. It almost burns in the mouth when it's cold. Medium body with lower drinkability. Interesting.

I really don't know what I was expecting, but it's merely okay. I'd try it again when I'm not in such a hurry.

Served on draught into a goblet at the Yardhouse in Los Angeles, California. Reviewed from notes. I'd had it out of the bottle before.

A: Pours a 2.5 finger head of fair cream, good thickness, and good retention. Colour is a dark hazy orange-gold.

Sm: Orange citrus esters, wheat, and maybe yeast. A mild strength aroma.

T: Orange citrus ester hops over a wheat foundation, with some light cream. Layered but somehow simple. Balanced.

Mf: Smooth, wet, and a touch sharp. Not too thick nor too thin.

Dr: Very drinkable. I like it. A simple enjoyable little beer.

North Coast Pranqster has a very thick, soapy, white head and a hazy, cloudy, yellow-golden appearance with lots of lacing, but few streaming bubbles. Aroma is subtle, but one gets white bread, spice, and water. Taste is of coriander, bread, bitterness, and a touch of banana. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Pranqster finishes relatively crisp, refreshing, and quite easy drinking. Overall, this is an excellent beer.

This pours a pale yellow with a small, spritzy white head rising and falling quickly with little lace. Without the dregs, it's pilsner clear. With them, it takes on a nice haziness. On the nose there is banana and clove mostly with some citric fruit, too, somewhat strange but not bad. In the mouth the banana and clove break out from the other flavors, but there is a soft breadiness underlying it all. The body is somewhat soft and fuzzy, which I like and makes for easy drinking. It's hard to believe the abv is what it is.

Overall, I find this beer to be better than the sum of its parts. It's not an exceptional example of the style, but it's pretty good and drinks very easily.
