Appearance: Wonderful opaque black. The burnt brown head had nice staying power.

Aroma: Nuts chocolate and espresso bean are present in the mix.

Taste: Wonderful imperial stout here. The roasted malts give way to some earthy chocolate, and espresso beans. There are some wonderful hop bitterness at the end and some roasted nuts in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Creamy with some slight carbonation which excites the taste buds and allows the bitter chocolate espresso to seep in.

Drinkability: This is a wonderful stout. It's not something that I would introduce someone to the genre with, but it's something that people who enjoy stouts or porters will definitely enjoy.

The color is black, and the head pours a full thick head that retains very nicely and leaves some pretty incredible sticky lacing all over the glass.

The smell is malts and a hot of alcohol with something like licorice and a hint of bitter dark chocolate.

The alcohol is strong in this one. The toasted malt is also prevalent; this is probably the "maltiest" beer I've ever had. If you really give it some time on your palate the malt, hops bitterness, and light sweetness with really make themselves evident so that the complexity can truly be appreciated. Very nicely balanced.

The mouthfeel is thick and smooth with a pleasant alcoholic sting to it. A great combination of thickness, alcohol, bitterness and toastiness.

This one is a definite must.

It comes in a short, stubby, fearless looking bottle with a design that belongs in the Kremlin.
Pours very dark brown with a frothy mocha head that refuses to dissipate, leaving clouds of lacing on the glass.
Aroma is roasty: notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, slight raisin, toffee, mellow hops and faint alcohol.
Taste is bitter, sweet, rich - notes of dark chocolate, espresso, slight fruit. Mouthfeel is thick. Medium finish: sweet, bitter.

Excellent beer, definitely on of the great Imperial Stouts; very good for a brunch.

Pours a black as night with a fluffy two inch tan head that resembles whipped cream, lots of lacing.
Exactly what an RIS should look like.
The aroma is outstanding, dark chocolate, roasted malt
Taste, Oh ya! chocolate, charcoal, bitter chocolate and is that a hint of hops? I think so!
Alcohol is subdued to the point of nonexistence.
Creamy and tight carbonation make every sip a pleasure, what a nice stout.
