In my opinion, this is the defining beer for its style: the imperial stout. This is not to say that this is the smoothest stout out there - forget drinking it anything other than COLD. I have never had the privilege of having this on tap, but for me this rivals some of the best stouts in the game.

A lot of beer drinkers condemn stouts for their usual strong presence of a coffee flavor, and while this does not have a strong coffee flavor, its "stout" flavor is omnipresent. It certainly has the creaminess of a stout, but I would say the mouthfeel is not as delightfully smooth as most stouts (I am unfairly comparing it to my last stout, deschutes obsidian on nitro), but this must certainly be because of the abv this bad boy packs.

Wouldn't recommend this for the faint,
Wouldn't recommend this for the anti-coffee type,

If you're not in either of these categories, trying this is a must
