A- Pours a pinkish tone that is somewhat hazed....not sure if from chilling for from yeast....I'll go with the latter! The color of the head is just off white and starts about two fingers thick and really holds its form, leaving behind a thick one finger thick film over the brew! Carbonation is aggressive by looks and the lacing is somewhat modest....with small patches sticking to my glass....

S- This really smells like strawberries and cream! Underlying aromas of yeast, caramel and a syrupy note are included....the finish is non existent really....this is just pure freshly pressed strawberry juice that has been fermented into a simply yummy smelling brew!

T- Flavors follow the aromas very precisely! There is a fresh creamy tart strawberry fruit flavor that is simply refreshing and is very much like juice or a strawberry soda! Yeasty malt is noted....fresh barley grains and a rhubarb quality are blended into this as well. Excellent!

M/O- Heavy carbonation and a full dessert like body make this an ideal summer sipper or would go with strawberries and cream dessert! Alcohol is very well hidden and one really wouldn't know this is a beer without knowing. This is very delectable and I'd recommend....a great beer to get into craft and yet another great offering from Sam Smith!

Reviewed on May 9, 2018. Date code SF09Q1 (June 9 2017), so it is 11 months old. Strongly strawberry aroma with some shortcake bread. Hazy, cloudy amber with a short off-white head, disappearing quickly to a thin bubbly cap and a bubbly ring. As with the aroma, the taste is strongly strawberry, not artificial, but real strawberry juice taste, somewhat sweet, with just a hint of tartness in the finish. With every sip, the intake of the aroma is fruity strawberry, and the taste follows in kind. Very smooth, juice-like mouth feel. It tastes more like a strawberry beverage than it does a beer (it is not sweet enough to be called a strawberry soda, but it is in that direction). I bought this out of curiosity. I normally avoid fruit beers, but if you like the taste of strawberries more than beer, this is very tasty. As I said earlier, genuine strawberry, not artificial. It's just not for me. However, I will attempt to rate it for what it is, a strawberry ale. It would easily be at least 3/4 of a point lower on my "I like it" rating. I'm glad I tried it, but I won't be buying any more for me. My wife really likes it, however, so I may buy more anyway!

It is my favorite fruit flavored beer. It really tastes like strawberry. I order it by the case.

Undoubetly the best of the three Organic Fruit Beers that Samuel Smith is currently producing. The base beer shows through while the strawberry character remains light, fresh, and balanced.

Fresh and vibrant strawberry character takes the lead with both the nose and taste while the sweetness of the malts provide a subtle structure that organizes the beer behind the scene. Stopping shy of soda pop or artificial taste, the beer has a sense of true fruit character that is lacking in most fruit beers. The delicacy of the strawberries leaves enough beery character to appreciate beyond the strawberry additions.

Light and refreshing on the palate with a soft maltiness and lemony crispness and acidity. Finishes with a light and clean strawberry linger.

The beer fares about as well as Abita Strawberry Harvest but with more strawberry flavor where Abita's has a better beer balance.

Poured from a mini-bomber into a Duvel tulip

L: Murky brown pour... pink-ish around the edges. Fluffy white head leaves solid lacing.

S: Strawberries.. light grains, but mostly fruit.

T/F: Follows the nose. Cracked grains... strong strawberry. Sweet and slightly tart. Mild citrus in the background. Rather 1-dimensional but delicious/tasty. Light bodied.

O: Delicious fruit beer with enough going on to be interesting. Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would and definitely not the 'strawberry soda' you see with other attempts at the style.

L- Mid chestnut, veeery slight haze to it. Pours with 3mm fine white head.
S- Strawberries, in your face rich strawberries, like opening a jar of opening jam.
T- Hmmm, not sure about this, it could be a strawberry cordial, it has a rich creaminess to it.
F- Rich, creamy, the hops seem to hide behind the fruit. I think this needs to be served very well chilled or risks being rather cloying as it warms.
O- Tastes like what it is, beer with strawberry juice added. I'm not sure why someone wanting a beer, would drink this as it's very un-beerlike.
I've had 3-4 different organic beers this week. All have spent a week or weeks settling in a cool place, despite which all have overflowed on opening. Very strange, seems to be a thing organic beers to these days!

Pours light amber with a thin dirty dishwater head.

Smell is quite good with creamy vanilla and strawberry.

Tastes like a blend of those candies that have the wrapper that looks like a strawberry and strawberry ice cream. Sweet.

Smooth body with high drinkability if you like strawberries. A nice summer treat with not a lot of complexity.

First review. Love the bottle, somewhere between a bomber and a regular 12 oz. The smell of this beer is very noticeable, unlike some beers that do not smell like their underlying fruit. This one IS strawberries. Taste was good, but a strong sourness lingered. Not like drinking a lambic. Overall a good fruit beer.

Appearance: high carbonation, 1 inch head, re/orange in color, clear

Smell: strawberries and light toasted malt

Taste: big time strawberries both sweet and tart with a little toasted malt

Mouthfeel: tart and sweet. The sweetness never gets to the cloying level, high carbonation, medium-light body

Overall: This one is a very good fruit beer that screams strawberries. It is both tart and sweet. A great dessert beer, the alcohol is not noticeable. I could have several.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a yellow-orange color with an white head. The aroma is strawberry nothing else. The flavor is the same as the aroma. I get a lot of strawberry notes but nothing else. The beer is just as fruity as the Samuel Smith Organic Raspberry, but doesn't seem to be as well executed. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear amber with a thin white head. Notes of strawberries, strawberry bubble gum, sugar. Medium body, medium to low carbonation and a sweet finish.

L: slightly hazy orange-gold to copper amber filled with rapidly rising bubbles under a 1/2" cream colored collar with poor retention

S: like sticking your nose into a bowl of fresh strawberries with fresh baked biscuit in the background.

T: Strawberry tart flavors mingle with malty sweetness in an exquisite balance

F: body and carbonation are medium

O: The strawberry in this beer is big but it does not overwhelm the malt

A. Peachy caramel with pretty nice head. Looks more like wine

S. Holy strawberry Batman! Reminds me of a strawberry faygo. With a hint of honey

T. Strawberries! No malt or hops. Not my favorite. Tastes more like a sweet wine..

M. Fairly fizzy,acidic

O. This "beer" was tastey but didn't quite hit the spot..maybe if it were a higher proof..If I was to get more,I would find a way to cook with it
