550 ml bottle was poured into an imperial pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger mocha head that reduced to a puffy layer. It is a pitch black color with no clarity or bubbles seen coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glad as the beer was drank.

Smell: Mocha, toasted malts, smoke, sweet pale malts, and roasted malts.

Taste: Some vanilla, roasted, mocha, bittersweet chocolate, smoke, and a little bitterness. A little sourness to it too like the style originally was made.

Mouthfeel: Silky and creamy smooth, full bodied, low carbonation, and a little chewy. What a nice treat.

Overall: Pretty solid porter. Such a classic.

Black color, ruby red highlight. Thick creamy, beige color head.

Dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, hint of dark fruit.

Very rich and malty, dark roasted malts, bitter-sweet chocolate, coffee, some hint of toffee. Dark fruit character, dried prunes. Hop bitterness is mild-medium. Finish is dry, roasted. Body is creamy, silky, smooth, dry.

A world-class beer. One of my favorite Porter. Delicious!!!
