I tried this at the botanical site....it is truly a middle of the road amber ale. Certainly worth a try if you're walking by.

This one pours a dark, clear, slightly orangy amber. Rich aroma is malty, a little yeasty, and has hints of spices. Flavor is malty and quite yeasty with undertones of orange and caramel, and is slightly sweet and spicy. Hard, edgy, jazzy texture leaves a malty, yeasty and slightly sweet finish.

On-tap at the park's brewpub. Aggressive carbonation, a bit of toasted malt, a moderate amber colour, some hops and a bit of creaminess and lace.More malty than anything else and thinner mouthfeel at that. Quaffable in a pinch, but go for the higher abv servings.

The body is very clear. It's really more of a dark red-brown than amber, though. The malt quality at least matches the darker color but it could have been a little richer (seemed a little watered down). Mellow low bitterness, malty.boring. Mellow sweetness.
