Deep copper color with a lightness on the edges. Small but firm egg white head. Aroma is strong on the pine flavors. Sharp but with a touch of maple syrup that eases the pine up a bit. A bit of grapefruit acidity and flavor lies in there as well. Taste is fruitier than the nose would lead on. Citrus fruits along with some garden fruits. Nothing too distinct however. A bit of a floral component resides down deeper. A rich caramel/butterscotch malty flavor combine with the hops and give this beer an quality. Mouthfeel is odd, not the hoppiest and there are times when something seems off. But in the end, it all comes together.

On-tap poured into a pint glass.

A- Not a lot of head, but a decent lace left great sticky spots. The body was a nice organgish color.

S- It had a good hop aroma that was earthy, but was brought toward some balanc by nice malty scents.

T- More balance in the flavor, maybe just bit toward the malty sweet end of the spectrum. The hops added a nice eathy taste.

M- Decent carbonation and a smooth feel with a pretty good hop tingle that felt nice on the teeth.

D- Very easy drinker. I could have more than 1 in a sitting.

Damn fine looking IPA. A dark, very dense copper with shades of ruby. Slightly opaque. Poured hard with a little head but did leave some spotty lace.

Rich piney hop strikes the nose first followed by a thick gooey layer of malt, floral hop aromas also tickle the senses. Ending with a sweet burst of citrusy goodness.

Wow this brewery does not seem to dissapoint whatsoever. Very balanced, and elegantly complex. Resiny, piney hops lead the way with a malty middle palate. The finish lends hints of grapefruit, lemon, floral, and a grassy quality. The sweet hops fade quickly into a tannic finish leaving a slight puckered feeling in my mouth.

I could drink this beer as well as the others I've tried from Hideout on a daily basis. Unfortunately I'd have to drive 5 hours to go again and I'm not sure when I will be able to make that trek.
