22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and compelxity of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice single hop IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Reviewed on 6/27/2010. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel malt. Flavor is mostly all malt with a hint of light fruits. Light on the hops, especially for an IPA. It was just not my kind of IPA as I had hoped for more of a hop presence.

Nitro-tap poured into a pint glass.

A- Creamy 1 finger, whitish head that turned to a great lace that left some excellent sticky spots. The body was a golden-amber color.

S- Floral hops are pretty well balanced with the sweeter malts.

T- Good balance betwee sweet malts and pine/grapefruit hops.

M- Smooth feel from the nitro tap.

D- It's missing a bit of a "wow" factor. It isn't bad, but missing some stronger hop characteristics that I look for in an IPA.
