Not a fan of the whole slightly sour oatmeal stout thing. The tart character totally distracts from the flavors I look for in an oatmeal stout. I will not be having this beer again.

Pint with lunch at the Pratt Street Alehouse.
Solid dark brown with a frothy tan head that persists. Earthy roasty with a hint of chocolate and dark dried fruit. Went down pretty easy.

Served as nitro, which aids the creaminess. But it still lacked flavor even when given time to reach ideal drinking temperature.

Cask conditioned (?)
Look - dark black with one fingered tan head...heavy lacing throughout
Smell - not much to report here
Taste -oatmeal up front...light dark malt and coffee follow through
Feel - smooth, medium bodied.

Very dark draft with a tan head and thick lace. Smooth as butter, feels great in the mouth, creamy oatmeal stout with a dryish finish.

Draft, at the Columbia Ale House, Columbia, poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, completely opaque, pitch-black color with a finger and a quarter of an oatmeal-colored head that completely covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Pretty aromatic, with notes of roasted malt, imparting aromas of toasted dark bread, and oatmeal, dark molasses, cream, brown sugar.

Taste: Exactly like the aroma. Lots of roasted malt up front, imparting flavors of toasted pumpernickel bread, dark molasses, some coffee, and a touch of smoke, followed by some lactose and cream, a touch of licorice, lots of brown sugar-like sweetness and a slight touch of dark chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Slightly chewy and creamy as hell, because it was nitroed which left no carbonation what-so-ever. With an ABV of 4.4%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an extremely good, delicious oatmeal stout! Highly recommended!
