On tap at the Montreal Brewpub
Appearance – Hazy reddish copper colour with a huge size fizzy/foamy beige coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Grains/wheat, yeast/spice, bananas
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste grains/bread mixed with dark fruits and a yeasty spiciness. There is also a fair bit of banana flavour.. unfortunately it is more of an artificial banana taste.. like a banana candy. It ends with a bittersweet aftertaste.
Overall – An above average beer that I would drink again. The artificial banana flavour became a little cloying after a while, but not too much.

Taste: some sweet caramel, bread spices, malty
wheaty totally like i would imagine une rousse de blé.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a cloudy brownish orange, some red highlights, thick tan head forms, settles to a thick ring around the glass, sheets of lace stick, this looks good.
Smell is nice, lots of banana and clove, wheat, very bready, some biscuit, nice rich malt character, brown sugar, a bit on the sweet side, but very malty.
Taste is similar, sweet up front, caramel, some spice, lots of banana/plantain, brown sugar, wheat, cloves, a touch of rye, nicely malty and drinkable, very smooth finish.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. A real nice, malty dunkelweiss. This is good stuff.

Enjoyed at the brewpub in a hefe glass before the recent Habs-Leafs game.
Poured a murky and dirty brown color. Kind of looked like someone blended a loaf of wheat bread and water. Couple folks at my table raised an eyebrow at the "sludge" in my glass. Nose was just simply wonderful. Smelled like my mom;s kitchen when she makes her banana bread. Very soothing and relaxing.
Flavor was outstanding. Some cloves and just a slight hint of citrus, but the bananas made me think that there were actual bananas in the beer. The yeast gave the flavor a whole new dimension by allowing it to last by physically sticking to the palate. Very full body that had some nice texture to it from the wheat. Just such a nice beer.
The only negative was that this beer was so damn filling.

Appearance: Sand-blasted/tarnished copper, a fluffy and frail head that had lots of cling on my wide-mouth weizen glass, a credit to both the brewer and the dishwasher!
Smell: The yeast profile had plenty of banana esters, that melded well with the grainy, wheaty aroma.
Taste: Velvetty smooth, with a bit more malt back backbone than your average weizen, the finish has that unripe banana tartness that I like, that "green", peely aftertaste coats your palate well and is quite long lasting, and makes this a pleasing and refreshing drink.
