On tap at Prohibition Pig. Bright red body with a medium white head. Smells of blackberries and vinegar acidity. Hard to get past the vinegar. Tastes strongly of vinegar too, unfortunately. The blackberry is nice, but overpowered by vinegar. Has some sweet doughy malt flavor, too. Bretty back end. Moderate sourness, but not my kind of sourness. Disappointing and a little hard to drink.

Poured murky deep red colour with a hint of purple towards the middle. Nose is funky with bright raspberry, strawberry and blackberry notes. Palate is light to moderate sourness with a touch of acidity and some funk. Vibrant blackberry notes come through with a very sight sweetness. Dry with low carbonation. Really well done.

Bottle: Poured a murky dark pink color ale with a medium size bubby head with limited retention. Aroma of tart and sour blackberry notes with refreshing funky notes. Taste is a nice mix of sour and tart blackberry notes with some light barnyard notes and some light fruity notes are also noticeable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. I love the mix between funky notes and blackberry. Good balance overall.

750ml bottle

Murky orange/red with minimal head and lacing. Bright berry fruit on the nose with mild funk. Tart raspberry and blackberry flavours. Moderate carbonation. A real winner.

750ml bottle split with some hoser a few days ago, cheers Mike!! (from notes)

A clear ruby red with not much for head or lace, just a thin film, sexy color though

S heaps of raspberries, blackberries, strawberry, cherry, a little funk, lots of wet wood and vinous notes, smells like candy

T slightly more funk, has a nice sweet and sour mix, a bit of a Flanders Red thing going on, a hint of green apple and burnt brown sugar

M lighter side of medium, bubbles fluff it and it flattens out, a little slick on the palate with a sour pucker to it

O nice and fruity, mildly sour with some wood popping up here and there, pretty solid brew

I could easily take down the bottle solo without getting board, yet another great beer from DDC

Tart with a nice, subtle blackberry flavour. A bit funky, tingly. A lacto-tinged finish, yogurty. Good. The blackberries provide flavour without obscuring the beer.

thanks steve! enjoyed from a ddc wine glass. pours deep magenta pink thin fizzy head with some staying power. nose is super puckery blackberry. little plastic. taste is very sharp blackberry...almost artificial. some nice white wine vinous sharpness. interesting beer. good, the vinous charateristics make it.

Pours a very dark pink, maybe light brown? Fizzy head, sour fruits in aroma. Blackberries are omnipresent with very palpable flavor (almost like crunching on them), mouth puckering, bone dry finish, middle is creamy and lactic. Wish i had more than one!
