Generously hopped, Corne du Diable is a modern interpretation of the British India Pale Ales of old. This copper ale has a malty nose with a round, caramel mouth feel that is contrasted by confident bitterness and forward hop aromas resulting from dry-hopping.

No idea what British IPA means.
Pours a tinted red amberish colour with a very lightly tanned head. Didn’t really leave lacing.
Smells of malt with some nuttyness and not a lot of hops. There is still some floral/piney hop character on the nose but it’s not a lot.
The taste on this is very malt forward with a little bit of nuttyness followed by piney hops in the back. Some sweetness and breadyness from the malt. Surprisingly bitter.
The mouthfeel is medium body with medium smooth carbonation. Not incredible but not bad.
Overall, if you’re not into bitter beer avoid this. Not my favourite Dieu du Ciel beer but it’s actually quite cool and I’m glad I tried it. How malt forward it is caught me off guard and the way the hops are done feels very odd. Gonna stick to Moralite.

2020 bottle dated 2020-04-03. Note bottle says this is “a copper tinted British IPA”.
Pours a clear dark amber red with finger plus of cream/ light khaki coloured head.
Aroma of grainy caramel malt, resinous piney hops, toffee and slightly nutty notes.
Malty on the palate with initial caramel malt sweetness followed quickly by bitter hoppy pine resin - bitterness builds overpowering a toffee note.
Smooth medium full mouthfeel with creamy carbonation - piney bitterness lingers. Not for the bitter averse.
Delicious - British IPA - I am not so certain.

Served in a tulip from the bottle.
Appearance: Amber body with a white head rising just about one finger's length. Drops quick after two sips.
Smell: Light hops with smooth scent and light grapefruit skin.
Taste: Light malts. Hoppy but not overly done. Citrus skin is super evident in the taste.
Mouth: Medium carbonation with light stickiness. The brew does come off dry and the light sourness to the beer could use a modest adjustment.
Overall: Descent but not the best I've had from this brewery. Nice to drink if you like you American IPA minus anything that would make it robust. Now you know, Salud!

From Bierkraft. At dinner, after futsal match, with agnus burger. Reminds a brown ale, with toffee and nuts. Pretty dense and oily body.Hops tend more to english profile than american but label says is an american IPA.

Just because the label says "American style IPA" does not mean that's what the Quebequoise bottled! This tastes and feels like a North American Strong Ale ala Stone Arrogant Bastard. As such, it's incredibly good, and the reviews here, particularly from Alstroms (usually right on!) are particularly bad.
Love the Dieu Du Ciel and most Quebec's craft beers.
A: Pours a thunderous, stormy DARK brown body that sports a rising thick creamy 4 finger head. The head slowly fades to a thick puffy rim and film and laces amply. A strange, devilish orange glows from its body.
S: The aroma a abrupt and abundent, pent up raisen, and church wood, with incense and thick hop aromas, lots of pine, citrus, and juicy, chewy hops. Pronounced varnishy, malty sweet aroma, reminiscent of a Arrogant Bastard and certain DIPAs and heavy Imperial IPAs. The bright aromatic hops keep coming.
T: Follows the smell like a buzz saw with chewy, complex hop flavors. Combining with sweet, candied, dark malt flavors, crystal malt, malty sweetness and thickness.Juicy hops with sticky pine. Feels like it's an imperial.
F: Imperial mouth feel, thick, good carbonation in a < 7% body.
O: Brilliant see-saw of sweet candied malt to hoppy, piney, twisty bitters. A great beer - completely misunderstood on BA.
Compare in blind test with Arrogant Bastard.

Bottle to pint glass. Looks like muddy water, very small head. Aroma is brown bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight yeast. Taste is fruity, apricot, date. Also brown sugar and French toast. Yum. Slight vinegar like aftertaste, but not too bad. Carbonation is weak. Don’t know that I would classify this as an American Style IPA; seems closer to a Belgian, but lighter on the strong yeast. Very tasty though."
