Pours oil slick black with a medium sized tan head that leaves a lot of sticky lacing.

The aroma is incredibly alluring, with rich, expressive notes of high end dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, smooth vanilla, touches of raspberry and cherry, and oak. There's also some creamy lactose and milk chocolate notes present. Lots of complexity, and yet succinct and pointed.

The flavor brings what the nose promised, with deep, rich, earthy coffee notes that are only rivaled by the absolute best coffee stouts out there! Bitter baker's chocolate follows, with just a touch of vanilla and oak. Smooth bourbon follows to round everything out.

The mouth feel is fairly thick, though not quite velvety, as it has a fair amount of carbonation. It finishes dry, with a somewhat sharp booze note that could be dialed back a bit, but it isn't too much.

This is a wonderful BA coffee stout that probably doesn't get the recognition it deserves! Probably better than most years of KBS, and maybe even some vintages of BCBCS! Seek this one out!

Great beer. Good mix of coffee and bourbon. A little hot as it was 2015 but great flavors and awesome mouthfeel. Like its non bourbon base beer this beer has a little sweetness, roastiness from whatever beans they use but overall a great beer that I would like to try different vintages of.

A - Dark brown/black pour, thin cream colored lacing, viscous.

S - Chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, alcohol effervescence, some spice.

T - Coffee, light char, oak, bourbon.

M - Big medium body that's borderline full body. Silky texture.

O - The current score of (97) may be a little too high but albeit, this beer is absolutely worth seeking out.
