Draft: Poured a deep amber color ale with large foamy head with good retention. Aroma of rye malt is quite dominant with light sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is not the most complex but very refreshing with loads of rye and minimal hops presence. Sweetness is pretty subdued and cereal taste is quiet fresh. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not complex but easily drinkable and quiet enjoyable.

On tap at Mondial de la Biere.

Murky brown pour with a whispy off-white head. Some lace spots. Sweet and spicy on the nose, some caramel and chocolate, but definitely a lot of rye. Sweet spicy flavour, with a great rye bread character. Not as much complexity to it as I hoped for, though there are some fruity and light milk chocolate notes that do add some depth. Medium-light mouthfeel with a matching carbonation.

It certainly didn't blow me out of the water like other DDC brews, but its well-made and drinkable.

This was labelled at the fest as Barbarossa. On tap at Mondial.

Pours a hazy orange/red, very thick tan head forms, settles down to a thick ring around the glass, lots of lace spots stick to the glass.

Smell is nice, lots of rye, very bready, caramel sweetness, biscuit and some raisin, lightly fruity, very malty, smells nice.

Taste is similar, lots of rye spiciness, bready, some biscuit, caramel, fruit/berries, a bit of earthiness and vanilla, more rye, nice.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with low carbonation, very smooth and drinkable. A pretty solid roggenbier.

On-tap at Mondiale 2010. Yeasty aroma, oddly enough. Very dark brown, with virtually no head. Somewhat lighter than average mouthfeel. A little coconut taste, not getting significant rye, so not so drinkable for me. SOme unusual ideas, not working for its style.
