Notes:
According to legend, Herbe à Détourne makes one lose their way should they happen upon it. This is an ale inspired by the Triples of Belgium with a new world spin by way of the American hop varieties employed. Citra hops are used unabashedly, presenting mango, cantaloupe and citrus essences, accompanied by a seriously hoppy and floral aroma.

Pours a nice hazy gold with a small head that left quite a bit of lacing.
The aroma on here is a surprisingly high amount of hops, which has me quite excited. Lots of pine and floral character with some nice citrusy and tropical fruit. Some sugar sweetness comes through on the nose.
Tons of hop flavour and some citrus and tropical fruit notes. Some caramelized sugar in the background which balances the hop profile. Some sweet bready character as well.
Nice body on this beer with perfect amount of carbonation.
Overall this beer is an amazing tripel. I prefer it to rigor mortis (Dieu du Ciel’s quad) because the boozyness on this is super toned down and all the hops make it so it’s not overwhelmingly warm. I love this beer, great example of a tripel and great representation for Canadian beer.

Nice hoppy triple. The floral and fruity citra workq very well with the estery character of the beer. Quite boozy but not in a bad way. Nice mouthfeel

Cloudy golden pour with short lived white head. Peppery , hoppy aroma - citrus peel, lemon/lemongrass - almost like a hoppy pilsner. Taste crisp citrus, coriander, lemon zest, spicy hops with bright bitterness at the finish. Medium mouthfeel - tangy yet creamy - nice carbonation - lingering spicy hop bitterness.

Lots of flavour in it. Good balance or fruit and hop taste. Wow!

What a good beer! A triple very well made. I have only found one item to highlight and keep in mind: the temperature and evolution in the glass. The beer has improved me a lot with the temperature and with the oxygenation. I'll repeat surely because I liked it a lot.

From a 12 oz bottle served quite cold. $2.89 can. A bargain! Less than a month old.
L: Quite hazy golden yellow with a fleeting white head.
S: Lots of grapefruit, candy sugar, tropical fruit.
T: Tastes of grapefruit, candied sugar other citrus flavors. There is lots of hops but the bitterness is balanced by the sugar.
F: Active carbonation, quite easy to drink. Mouthfeel is quite complex with the various flavors that sort of stack one after another keeping it interesting.
O: Another winner from DDC.! However it's quite sweet and at 10% abv you have watch out. I'm not sure I would drink it in summer as a thirst quencher!

The color is golden with some orange reflections. Aromas are of yeast spicyness, pineapples, peaches and candi sugar. The taste is a bit too much cloying to my taste. I definetely feel apricots, peaches in syrup, mangos, green grapes, but it is not that well balanced. There is an alcohol warmth that is conforting and a subtle bitterness at the end of the sip.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a dark yellow/light orange with tons of head. Nose is piny hops, orange, lemon, and bread. Taste is hoppy, citrus forward, a bit sweet like candy, maybe a syrupy. Very refreshing with some nice bread and yeast notes. Mouthfeel is dry and nice.

Interesting hoppy tripel hybrid.
Just a bit too boozy, but the hop selection matches the ester profile so much better than most hoppy Belgian hybrids.

Wicked hybrid. Really juicy, mandarin nose, some apple-y esters. Booze tempered nicely. From a brewery that seems like they can nail anything, this is still surprisingly awesome.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazed orange-ish color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
Smells like lots of tropical fruits, peaches in syrup, apricot, a little clove, and candy sugar.
This is a hoppy tripel- but the Citra hops provide more of an intense fruitiness to complement the usual fruitiness associated with tripels. There's basically no hop bitterness, with syrupy stone fruit, orange peel, clove, and simple syrup.
This is medium bodied, a tiny bit syrupy, with a lower level of carbonation.
This is definitely interesting, but it's a tiny bit too syrupy for me.

Pours a nice hazy yellow colour with medium head and adequate lacing. Smell is of pineapple and white grapes. Taste follows the smell. Reminds me exactly of a Duvel. Overall, a very drinkable beer at 10.2 ABV.

341ml bottle.
Opaque gold with a moderate, quickly dissipating head. Slight funk, broad spectrum of fruit aromas. Spicy on the tongue. Bitter hops. mild tropical fruit. Warming booziness. Medium bodied. Lovely.
