Stylistically, I'd say this is more of a modern Octoberfest, which boarders on a Vienna Lager or even a Munich Helles. Wonderful continental flavours with very little sweetness.
A: Copper with an off-white head, some retention, excellent lacing.
S: Nice spicing (peppery, grassy & herbal), light breadyness & sweetness.
T: Very bready, good spicing (floral, grassy & slightly peppery & herbal), with a pleasant bitterness.
M: Moderate body is smooth & almost creamy, modest carbonation.
D: Incredibly drinkable. I'd LOVE to have a local like this.

The booklet has a really nice blurb in French about how the ingredients for beer were expensive and in short supply after the great war, leading to lower alcohol brews. When a German wanted a good old fashioned beer they would ask for a 'volbier'. Good reddish-amber pour with a tight off-white head. Nicely subdued bready aroma, with some prominent yeast. Good dose of caramel malt and grain, followed up by a moderate hoppy bitterness. Good balance. Medium-light body, and average carbonation for the style. Strong drinkability.

Excellent head for a bar-poured beer; Good lace; hazy orange amber color.
Lots of yeast in the smell; no notable hop; Reminds me of fresh bread.
I really enjoy the balance of this beer. Solid caramel malt start with a good hop finish. The body is more than I'd expect and the carbonation provides a good counterpoint.
If you are a fan of good homebrews, this is a beer for you.

There wasn't as much description about this one at the bar, unfortunately. Pour was a clear reddish amber, with a quickly dissipating head. I found the aroma to be rather fruity, and this was reflected in the taste. Nothing horrible, but nothing special.

Really more of a Munich Lager than a VIenna one. This red beer arrived a nice colour with a superb head. The aromas were subtle, but malt was the predominant aroma of this beer. The taste was very balanced, subtle, and yet flavorful. The mouthfeel was well balanced and the drinkability was very good as well. A very well balanced Munich Lager!
Cheers!
