Had this beer from a tap poured plastic pint glass in LVNV. Too bad, but that's what you get here.

Nice look to it--typical wheat beer, unfiltered. Looked appetizing.

Smelled okay. Maybe a little acrid.

Tasted worse than I expected. It was a little too floral, which was unpleasant. It wasn't terrible, but not something I'd want again (hence the drinkability score).

Mouthfel was like you'd expect. Foamy, crisp--okay overall.

Pours an inviting lightly hazy golden banana hue with a decent one-finger off-white head that fades fairly quickly but leaves respectable lacing down the glass.

aroma is a bit of wheat, a bit of banana, and a ton of clove... possibly one of the most clove forward hefe aromas I've encountered. smells delicious! a bit of yeasty bread dough and a bit of citrus built depth.

the flavor is in line with the aroma, only intensified. Depth of flavor is huge! this isn't a weak hefe. light malt backbone with a good dose of yeast, lemon, spice, apple, pear, banana, and clove. Sweet but not sugary, spiced but not spicy. I'm pretty impressed with the well roundedness. A hint of hops and a bit of citrus trail on the finish.

mouthfeel is fairly full for the style, with good carbonation to keep the slightly syrupy sticky brew from seeming overly so. A touch lighter (or even higher carbonation) would have made this one perfect.

Have to say i didn't have high hopes for this one, but was pleasantly surprised. Nothing out of this world, but a definitely solid hefe with some good, strong flavors. I could definitely drink a few of these.

Served on tap at Sin City Brewing (Venetian) in Las Vegas, NV

A: Pours a cloudy light golden orange in color. The beer has a half finger tall white head that reduces to a thin film over the entire surface and a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Significant lacing is observed.

S: Smell is dominated by the banana + clove and orange citrus notes.

T: The beer is dominated by the banana + clove flavors that I would expect for the style with a healthy amount of orange citrus present as well. There are some light wheat notes and the flavor is quite pleasant.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Very easy to drink, very refreshing, and definitely sessionable. The beer seems really well suited for the Las Vegas climate and definitely one to have while visiting.

Consumed on draft at Sin City bar in Las Vegas, 12/31/07.

Cloudy, unusual amber/copper color. Low carbonation.

Cloves in aroma, along with sweet banana. Flavor is more of same (yay!) and also has a little spice/pepper character at end. Far, far better than I expected! Only negative is that it is served as cold as a Bud Light from the draft; just ten degrees warmer and it would probably be amazing. I didn't find out, as it tasted so good I downed it all before it warmed up! And best of all... NO LEMON!

One of the best micorbrewed hefes I've had.

Poured on-tap at the bar in the Ventian. Unfiltered, giving a cloudy, almost opaque, yellow color. The nose is full of citrus and spice, similar to Pyramid Haywire. Flavor is heavily spiced, with a decent balance of citrus. The full bodied and round flavor of the beer made it extremely drinkable. A very decent Hef.

Appearance: hazy pale yellow in color with a 1/2" head. Little carbonation bubbles present.

Smell: light wheat and a hint of banana.

Taste: a very lightweight hefe, with mild wheat/malt levels, mild bitterness, and a bit of the usual dry banana spiciness.

Mouthfeel: light in body. Mildly crisp at the start and finish. Lightly refreshing and a relatively clean finish.

Drinkability: Not bad, but I prefer the stout Sin City makes for a solid beer.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color, with a nice white head. OK it was in a plastic cup like just about every beer I drank in Vegas, but once you're used to the concept it's really not bad.

Nice banana/clove aroma with a earthy wheat background that entices. I really enjoyed the taste of this beer, banana is up front, some spicy undertones and just a great tangy wheat flavor that does not disappoint.

A light bodied beer that drinks easy with a bit of a thick feel at the same time. Good one for a warm afternoon on the strip.

Served on-draught into a plastic cup at the Miracle Mile location. Reviewed from notes. Expectations were low.

A: Pours a one finger head of fair cream, decent thickness, and good retention. Colour is a hazy pale copper.

Sm: Heavy citrus ester hops and lots of orange peel. Wheat. A moderately strong aroma.

T: Orange citrus ester hops over a simple wheat foundation. Very simple, but enjoyable and pleasant nonetheless. I wouldn't call it refreshing. Built and balanced in an average fashion.

Mf: Sharp, coarse, and wet. A bit too thick.

Dr: Drinkable but nothing special. I wouldn't have it again - especially at this price.

Purchased on tap at location in Caesars Palace.. or.. Bellagio? or.. Venician..? I don't remember.. they all run together.. poured into see through plastic cup

Pours nice and hazy as it should with moderate head. Smells largely of clove not so much on the banana which is okay. Taste follows well, wheaty and chewy almost with a little burn on the end.

Overall this is actually a great beer. I'd buy it again and have a stroll around vegas!

fyi - growlers are $20 filled... not terrible
