Had at Le Drinkerie in Montreal, nitro pour.
Big creamy dark nitro head, pitch black beer.
Nose maple coffee cream, earthy roasty malt and coffee, plenty of maple creams and candy, mild nitro creamy note, sweet candy.
Taste brings mild smoke, more roasted malt, little coffee again, into maple cream and candy again, pretty sweet, with mild roasty malt bitterness, and some creamy nitro. Finish is drier but still sweet, creamy nitro, big bitter earthy spicy hop finish, little coffee and cocoa.
Mouth is med bod, light carb from small nitro bubbles.
Overall not bad, I like the roast and coffee with maple cream, but a bit too sweet and bitter on the finish, otherwise pretty interesting.

Enjoyed at Drinkerie in Montreal, nitro tap, 20 oz pint glass
A - Poured a super dark brown nearly black hue with a good two finger mocha head that lasts forever due to the nitro.
S - Aromas of good roast malts, chocolate, coffee grounds, faint acrid bitterness, pleasant.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, good chocolate and coffee grounds notes, finish is surprisingly bitter and lightly acrid. Good roast malts, nice and dark lightly fruity. Finish is almost chalky bitter, faint nitro notes as is typical when nitro poured. Still, pleasant.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly thin, faintly creamy. Nitro.
O - Overall this beer was pleasant, nice chocolate and coffee. Good on a cold night.
Serving Type: On Tap (Nitro)
