Notes:
We are from the city that invented the skyscraper. We constructed our Urban Pale Ale on a balanced malt backbone, so the citrus hop aroma and crisp flavor can stand tall.

Was really feeling this beer. I guess it could be because it just had 312 wheat ale right before this 12oz bottle. There was really nothing about this beer that stood out to me and had me wanting more. Plenty more options from Goose Island that are quite amazing.

Probably my least favorite pale ale ever. Very little hop character and just a lot of crystal malt. As the beer warms it begins to get more and more like vomit.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 5.4% and there is a bottled on date.
Appearance: The body has a golden amber color with good clarity and just a few bubbles of carbonation. The pour produced a tall thick head, white In color and fairly long lasting. As it slowly settles it makes lots of cool lacing on the glass.
Smell: There is a nice sweet aroma coming from the glass. I get a nice balance of bready and biscuity malt with some light citrusy hops. I also get very light fruity notes of apple and dried apricots.
Taste / Palate: It has a nice medium bodied base of wheat like breakfast cereal, pale bready and biscuity malt with fruity dried apricot like notes mixing in. The feel is smooth and the carbonation is almost creamy. It finishes with a light balance of citrus hop bitterness.
Notes: I like this Pale Ale for it light hop balance and harmony of flavors. I don’t expect Pale Ales to be IPA want to be hop bombs. I could drink quite a few of these.

poured into a tulip glass from a 355mL bottle.'
Bottle Date: July 01, 2014
Pour Date: August 18, 2014
APPEARANCE: Dirty golden hue, high clarity, with a 1.5 inch white head. Head reduced to just the edges after 2 minutes, but has good retention on the walls of the glass.
SMELL: New baseball glove and a bowl of corn flakes
TASTE: Underlying taste really matches the scent - earthy and sweet. The hop flavours are married well: dry hops give a bright upfront sensation without overpowering, while the bittering hops aren't too noticeable, meaning they're doing their job. Aftertaste is sweet on the back of the tongue. Overall this is a malt-shifted pale.
FEEL: A bit sticky, almost creamy.
BURP: boring

Picked up this one as part of a mixed six to try as I have really liked some of the Goose Island stuff so here we go. Pretty good looking beer, but a little pretty for my taste. Nice smell, but not real strong. Not bad, not just a plain pale ale with good, not great flavor. Decent beer but nothing that I will be going out of my way to get again.

Eh... I see why this one is going away and being replaced by Green Line. While I have had Green Line and was not blown away there either, it is still better than this offering. This is just bland and boring. No other way to put it.
Would drink again: No
