Pours a hazy, dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a two finger white head that slowly settles into a lasting cap. Excellent retention lasting throughout and coating the glass with sheets of soapy lacing on the way down. Looks great.

Inviting aroma with a strong amount of musty funk and wild bugs along with subtle toasted oak and juicy tropical fruit notes. Slight acetic quality but no vinegar or solvent character. Would never be able to tell this was a wheat beer except for subtle sourdough bread notes but smells like a great BA American wild ale. As it warms, the funk and acidity stand out a bit more. Strong brett effervescence and funky wild yeast notes. Juicy tropical fruit with pineapple and citrus peel. Funky bugs and oak dominate though. Acetic quality gets a bit stronger as it warms as well with jammy seeds and vinegary acid. Nice tropical pineapple presence but I wish it was a bit stronger to balance out the funk.

Tart and puckering with strong citric and acetic acid flavor. Acetone is stronger than I prefer but only subtly vinegary and not too solvent like. The brett and and other wild yeast notes stand out with dry, musty funk and sweet acidic notes. Decent amount of sourness and only subtle lactic cheesiness. Palate has more of a wheat beer presence. Kind of like a Berliner/Russian river wild ale hybrid. Sourdough bread, citrus peel, acidic sweetness l, faint oak and a vinegary finish. Some light fruit esters, notably apple/cider sweetness comes through in the countering the acidity and funk. Complex with medium to strong sourness/acidity but still easy to drink. Haven't had the regular version but the pineapples give it another dimension of flavor. Crisp, refreshing and surprisingly crushable. Very nice.
