Appearance: The slightly hazy medium golden body is surmounted by a massive and somewhat coarse snow-white cloud top head with superb retention. Belgian-style lacing adorns the glass wall. Masses of fat bubbles adorn the glass wall beneath the surface. Minute bubbles in small streams drift lazily to the surface.

Aroma: Mild grapefruit notes dominate the aroma, more of the fruit, than the rind. There are also lemon notes and a bit of pine. Beneath the hops, there are notes of white bread.

Taste: The taste opens with pale malt and moderate citric and pine hops, the latter a little more prominent than the former. The pale malt contributes a little mild sweetness throughout the taste. As the taste progresses, the hops intensify a bit, towards the close the pine hops dominate. Finishes with a mild, lingering pine bitterness.

Mouth feel: Smooth and surprisingly full-bodied, with only modest soft carbonation, quite pleasant.

Drinkability/notes: "So-Lo" presents well beyond what I would expect of a low ABV beer. Very well-done, and an excellent choice for a summer session beer.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip. 12/02/2022.

Pours a hazy light amber. Thin foam. Sweet aroma. Light crisp body. Not a lot of hop flavor. A little bitterness. Easy drinking. Not great as an IPA but excellent as a light beer.

12 oz can served in a lager glass.
Appearance. Pale, slightly hazy amber body with a good head and decent lacing.
Feel. Light body with good carbonation and a nicely dry finish.
Aroma. Hoppy.
Flavor. Mild for an IPA but, with only 100 calories this can be seen as a bold light beer.
Overall. Good session IPA and excellent light beer.

I got a can of this beer from a Holiday 24pck that I bought from my local Target store. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had subtle bitter citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a decent beer.

12oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a clear amber color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a film on top

S- stale hops; garlic, onion, grass, hint of pine. Underlying bready malt

T- grassy and vegetal-like hop notes up front with a hint of citrus peel. Mid palate gives some toasted malt and honey. The finish gives more stale hops that continues into the linger

M- light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

O- the hops just come across as stale, it reminds me of Brewdog's n/a IPA's. If you want low abv/calorie, go with Athletic Brewing.

Can: Poured a clear yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with some floral hops undertones. Taste is also a mix of citrusy hops notes with some light bitter notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Better than most other low calorie beers out there but nothing to write home about either.

In my opinion, this is the best low calorie ipa out there. It has a warming sensation like a high alcohol beer with only 3 percent alcohol. A great choice if your looking to relax and enjoy your beer without being slowed down

12oz can poured into a can-shaped glass. Admittedly attractive pale gold, mostly clear with a small head. The nose is subtle grains, faint lemon, grass, mild sweetness. More of the same on the palate, light and watery as expected but also refreshing. Those mild grains carry a subtle sweetness as well as a very light spice character. Faint citrus, earthy, grassy hoppiness. For a light IPA it’s just fine.

So-Lo from Goose Island Beer,

Look: Beautiful golden color, no head,

Smell: Bready, biscuity

Taste: Bready, biscuity, soda water, with hit of hops in the background. You do feel a bit of a salt. Lots of flavor for a 3% ABV. Nice surprise tho

Feel: Light body, with medium to high carbonation.

So overall would I recommend it ? Sure, pretty nice on summer days
