I was at a school function at Goose Island Clybourn, and I got to try this delicious beer. It is a cousin to Imperial Goose Brown Ale (which, despite having the word "Brown" in the name, is a much redder ale than Naughty Goose). NG is a dark brown color, just slightly less dark than the Bourbon County Stout.
I really enjoyed this beer, even though it cost $10 for a snifter and has a slightly higher ABV than I usually prefer. It was very smooth, and extremely tasty. The barrel-aging really gives it a nice finish, and the flavor was more complex than the Imperial Goose Brown. Even with the prohibitive cost, I would definitely go back and have a couple more glasses of this one.

From the Goose Island Beer Academy on October 28, 2009 brochure, this is described as "Imperial Brown Ale was aged for 6 months in a Heaven Hill barrel, then aged additionally with blackberry and fresh cranberries.
Appearence is dark blackish, with brown highlights. Muddy looking, no head.
Nose of chocolate malt, slightly nutty, a bit of wood, and not a sign of the fruit. Taste is malty, pruny with a cranberry hit at the end that provides a tartness in the finish.
Silky and smooth, a fine porter mouthfeel, a bit heavy and high on the abv for a couple but a very nice change of pace porter.

Served in a snifter at Goose Island-Clybourn 11/19/09 during the Thanksgiving Brewmasters Dinner. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Dark tobacco brown with some subtle russet highlights. The tiniest of head (mostly just a thick ring) that left behind four little specks of lace.
S: Heavenly! Aromas of bourbon, caramel, vanilla, coconut, and fruity/tangy cranberry.
T: See above. Freshly picked cranberry flavor that's drenched with caramel, bourbon, and coconut.
M: Big and sweet with an amazing dry/astringent cranberry quality. Juicy and parched all at the same time.
D: Heather and I love how the bourbon and the cranberry played off of each other. This is a masterful Wil Turner brew!
