A shockingly easy-drinking 7.0% ABV IPA with an electric bouquet of tropical & citrus flavors. Nugget, Sultana, Citra, Mosaic, and Eureka hops provide the spark that makes Neon Beer Hug shine!

A: Pale and crisp appearance with a lemon straw coloring is vibrantly filled with a rushing sense of macro-effervesce. Spongey textured stone white head is 3/4 inch has a lasting stand. Thin film sheeting accumulates on the vessel.

S: Pineapple slice is slightly tart and semi-dry in nature. Some peaches and bar lemons delivers a sharp and citric scent that mixes with some pale grains. The overall theme is moderate in strength and has a good continuity. Hints of light straw appear upon warming. Crisp and citric lemon bite, semi dried tropical nature of pineapple and peaches has a backbone of dry pale grains. Finish finds a bit of washy lemon and a touch of soapiness. Damp and floral hops along with wet hay.

M: Crisp bite, frothy texture delivers some foamy accents on the tongue with some bready undertones.

O: Overall a decent drinking ipa,. The crisp nature being the strong point here and standout as well its visual presentation. First impression was good, but continuity dipped a bit with some washy old hops, not sure about dating on can. At mid drink it became a mid beer for me after some brief promise.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, date on can "02MAY24".

APPEARANCE: pours a clear, copper color with one-finger off-white head, good retention, the head slowly dissipated until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained, there is significant lacing on the glass, lighter carbonation.

SMELL: bread and tropical citrus fruit like pineapple.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet pineapple citrus and then bread, it's a little thin and watery.

PALATE: lighter carbonation and medium body.

OVERALL: this is not a terrible beer but there are certainly much better examples in the style, my biggest complaint is it was too lightly carbonated and a little watery, I will not seek this one out again.

Poured a clear golden amber with a foam ring around my tulip. Slight fruity hop aroma up front but I really had to look for it. Taste about the same as smell not much to it, a little bitterness in the finish. It does have a decent body to it and clings to the palate for a while, but that's about the best of it. I generally don't buy AB beer but It looked interesting with a recent born on date so I gave it a shot. If you like real India Pale Ale's stay away from this one.

Much more delicious than the Juicy Beer Hug and Tropical Beer Hug from the same line. Still nothing special. Tropical fruit on the nose - tangerine, guava. An artificial tropical fruit flavor lingers unpleasantly on the palate as an aftertaste. Pleasantly hops-bittered for a mass market beer, but not much complexity to the hops flavor. I'd rather drink this than a PBR, and I would rather drink this than the other beers from this line.

Pours so perfectly clear it looks like it’s been charcoal filtered. Fluffy white head with lingering edges. Smell is bland, it smells like beer. something about it tastes corn funky to me, I absolutely love the other beer hug variations so much, this one is not good at all I can’t even swallow it.

Part of assorted Goose Island Beer Hug IPA 12 pk. Poured slightly hazy then settled out into a clear light gold tone with a thin head that dissipated quickly. Aroma has quite a bit of orange and a little pineapple, taste is hop forward but well balanced. Plenty of carbonation but a little thin in the mouth. Finish is a bit tart and dry. I like this one, works for me.

Picked up BOGO in sizers at Publix. Can’t pass it up. Popping the top I get a whiff of orange and pineapple. Pours to a bright yellow with little head that quickly disappears. Taste is silky smooth, sparky carbonation. With an upfront hop slam of grapefruit and very rooftop clingy bitterness. Not as fruity as I expected or smelled. More like a standard IPA. Very smooth and simple. The ABV of 7% evident but not over bearing. A nice selection.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Best by 9/18/22, had 6/7/22.

Pours a bright, clear, lighter golden color, with a one inch foamy head and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of general citrus- maybe leans to orange, light malt, light herbal hops, a little lemon. Flavors of general citrus, malt, some lemon, herbal hops, a little grapefruit, a little hop bitterness. Smooth, a decent light body, well carbonated.

Not bad, but very bland. Nothing stands out. Almost seems like that was the intent.
