12oz can. Stamped on can bottom is best by date of '10MAR23'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger of white head, which recedes to an island and ring. Leaves behind some layers of lacing that follow the beer body down the glass.
Aroma of a malt base with citrus and tropical hop smells. Not much of an overall nose expression.
Taste conveys a toasted malt base, with hop flavors that are citrus and tropical fruits. Very fruity and not overly sweet. Just a bit of bitterness at the end and in the aftertaste, along with hop matter.
Medium mouth feel. Very crisp and clean finish. Rather a "sharp" expressing beer. Good carbonation.
Such a clear appearing IPA is seldom encountered these days, along with the crisp feel. Should be good for more than one on a warm summer's day.

Crystal clear light wheat color with 1 finger head. Effervescent enough to keep a nice foam layer. Smells of citrus fruit and malt like many American ipas. Good flavor, hoppy with sweet on the back end but a bit weak on the front. Bit thin too, but enough body to hold up. A good American that's easy to drink and worth a try.

Overall a tasty IPA.

I haven't had a Goose Island beverage for a really long time. I used to really like Honkers Ale but so many beers have taken it's place. I guess I tried a few of their "later" beers. The "Rambler IPA" was had in 2018 and I liked it but nothing since. So, why not give a new IPA a try.
L: I never say the art on the can gets me interested in a beer but the blue bear in sunglasses with a sign "10,000 Volts Of Flavor" Poured with a huge head that stuck around. Slight carbonation. Light yellow. Lace showed where the head first was.
S: Bright? Yeah, first impression. A mix of tropical fruits. Appetizing.
F: Little cream. Quick wash. Slight to no bitter on the edge of the tongue. Just a non -sweet fruity aftertaste.
T: At 7.0 ABV plus the 10,000 Volts brag, you'd be expecting a hop bomb. Ahh but it's 10,000 volts "of flavor" advertised on the can. Bragging? Yeah. Deserving? Yeah. Tangerine, Pineapple perhaps? I've had several "Tropical" IPAs but they always seem to be reaching for that title. This one has it without being overly aggressive. Not sweet.
O: Goose Island. I think this one is great and subdued enough and true fruity hops flavor. I will get this one again.

12 oz. can, best by DEC 11, 2022. Finally reviewing this one from Goose Island, acquired a single can as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.
Poured to Brasserie D'achouffe stemware.
Gold body, semi-clear, appears aptly carbonated. Half finger of thin bubbly white head that dies out quick.
Aromas of grapefruit, mango, bubblegum, some alcohol phenols. Smells juicy & fruity. Some pale bready malts to round things out are buried in there.
Bitter, piney, resinous, bit of alcohol bite,
Smooth, crisp, slightly bitter & resinous finish. Medium-bodied, slick carb. Feels a bit more full than the Hazy Beer Hug I just had. Slightly less "drinkable" or quenching, but it's to be expected with the higher abv, tho this beer is only a mere .20% higher in abv.
Overall, enjoyed this one a bit less than the Hazy Beer Hug, especially after drinking them back to back.

Purchased as a small 12oz can from Ingles for $1.99. Poured into a nonic pint glass.
L - Goldenrod and clear, with a three-finger pale white head. Lacing is excellent.
S - Citron, light pine. Slight dank. Slightly bready, as well. Sweet, in a floral way.
T - Follows nose. Citrus-heavy, and fades into a mellow floral pine tar. White grape and cracker finish. Well-balanced.
F - Medium-full body, with plenty of carbonation. Pretty drinkable for the ABV. Crisp.
O - A solid IPA. Good for the price, and not over-the-top. An excellent purchase.

Picked up a 12 oz single as part of a mixed sixer from the Highland Lakes Ingles market cooler 6-9-22 for $2.00. Best by 20AUG22, consumed 9-2-22.
Beer poured clear gold with a very nice long lasting white head.
Nose is nice, tropical fruit forward.
Taste is a lighter pale malt base that is hopped with light mango, orange, and a touch of gooseberry that lends a balancing bitterness; 5/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.
Overall a pretty decent brew.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast, leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a white grape, apple, and cracker malt aroma mixed with some smells of grain and a bit of grapefruit hop. Along with these smells comes notes of peach and apricot as well as some tangerine and mango.
Taste – The taste starts out strong of a dry and crisp malt flavor that has a little bit of grape and some light caramel. There is a grapefruit and pine hop right upfront, with the later getting stronger as the taste moves forward. All the while, some grainy flavors begin to develop and are accompanied by some herbal hop. Towards the end, the sweeter flavors upfront, fade even more, and with the increase in the hop, one is left with a dry and crisp, somewhat more dank hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is lighter and crisp for a 7 % abv brew with a carbonation level that is medium. The thin body matches the crisp flavors well and makes it a very easy sipper.
Overall – A rather nice crisp and clean tasting IPA. A good warm weather IPA.

Very interesting beer, wasn’t much to look at, and the mouthfeel was a bit astringent, but it did have a very floral and fruity smell that lightly translated to the palate. Overall, it’s decent, not spectacular or anything, but solid enough.

Clear bright golden color with a moderate but lasting white head and some nice lacing.
The aroma is citrus and pine with light sweet malt.
The taste brings out grapefruit and lemon with some hints on mango and passion fruit. The finish is crisp and peppery with some lingering pine resin.
The body is light/medium, moderate carbonation, very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a somewhat peculiar blend of east and west coast approach to IPA, mild bitterness but fairly balanced with sweetness gives an enjoyable summer brew.

The last of this pack is the Neon Beer Hug, at an even 7%. As a straight IPA the transparent straw color is a little light but it's close. It pours a thin white head with notes of grain and tropical fruit on the nose. The taste isn't offensive, but it's not outstanding either. It's a little on the light side for an IPA and I'm getting a bit of the overcarbonated mouthfeel.
This should be a lot better, just like the rest of this pack.

a clear and easy drinking ipa, east meets west coast with this one, high hops and dank intensity meet heavy dry hopping fruitiness, but then some bitterness kicks up, and the grain base is light, a bit of a hybrid thing, real nice, and overall i think they did a great job with this beer hug mix box, really gives them a needed facelift in my opinion. love the light golden color on this and the clarity. it smells complex too from a hop perspective, although mosaic does stand out a bit and maybe dull the edges a touch, there is something unfamiliar here that i like, herbal but complimentary to all the citrus swirling in this, and its there in the taste too, not quite challenging but definitely not a run of the mill varietal or mix of varietals, good to see a little weirdness and uniqueness back in a goose beer. tangerine and mandarin, cantaloupe and its rind, lemongrass and lemon, and some gentle botanical brightness. its summer without trying to hard, and its not just the packaging that makes me say that. the lighter body is great, the finishing dryness and clean ferment flatter it, and i can easily overlook a light metallic note when the temperature rises a bit, which a few of them in this box exhibited, no big deal. tasty and original enough to be fun. thankful to have been able to blast through all the beers in this box, a great addition to their lineup!
