Neon Beer Hug has a thick, off-white head and a bubbly, clear gold appearance, with moderate lacing. The aroma is of hop resins and white bread crust. The flavor is of fairly strong bitterness, oily hop resins, and sweet, white bread crust. Neon Beer Hug has a medium body and a moderately-dry finish.

From a 19.2oz can:

Appearance: Clear yellow, huge head.

Smell: Kind of generic citrus and hint of dankness.

Taste: Hits with moderate bitterness up front, grapefruit and lemon. Stays pretty bitter and dry throughout, finishes with more grapefruit and pith. Pretty light body for 7%.

Overall: Goose Island is everywhere so I picked up a silo for a hotel beer. It's not bad, but not too special either. Good amount of bitterness, which I like, wasn't expecting it from a beer called Neon Beer Hug. Decent IPA.

Clean crisp ipa. Bursting with flavor. Interesting hop flavor I haven’t tasted very often but will definitely buy more of the Goose Island offering . Great way to start to end Start the weekend on a Friday night! Well done!

12 oz. can poured into a snifter glass. The beer pours a clear deep straw with a fleeting cap of whitish foam. Quite light in color and with minimal retention. Aroma has some herbal fruity hop notes but is a bit reaching, touch of oniony herbal notes. Quite subdued when the pour glasses off.

Taste offers a light malt presence, light in character. Not sweet nor malty and with a minimal bitter character, just a blank canvas to showcase some aroma hops. Easy feel for lack of character. Overall a poor IPA but not a bad beer, just not gonna make the big leagues I'm afraid. Still masks its IPA ABV fairly well, and the aroma is its saving grace....Of sorts...

12oz can on United Airlines flight
L: Clear amber colour with a large, long-lasting head. Clouds of carbonation (possibly because of the reduced air pressure at altitude).
S: Tropical fruit.
T: Solid malt backbone with nicely balanced blend of citrus and pine hops. Bitterness is present but light.
F: Medium body, smooth & rich mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.
O: An aircraft cabin on a cramped, 6-hr, internal flight is not the ideal environment for a beer tasting. However, this flavoursome, ever so smooth, west coast-style AIPA more than held its own. Dangerously easy-drinking for 7%.

This one disappoints, especially because the other "Beer Hug" that I had was excellent... this one is just a very standard IPA, with NEIPA flavor: heavy citrus juice with just enough pine stank. These IPA's are a dime a dozen

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium golden color with a moderate-sized head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of orange, grapefruit, and some resinous nectarine. Hints of pine underneath. (3.50)

Flavor: Moderate flavors orange, nectarine, pear, and some grapefruit. Hints of pine, but leans malty with a slightly sweet finish. (3.50)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finish is smooth and slightly malty. (3.50)

Compared to Firestone Mind Haze Hopical Crush 3/27/22: Pours a clearer color. Milder aromas. More orange and pear. Less citrus, pineapple, peach, and tropical notes. Less juicy.

Overall: A pretty standard American IPA. Not super bitter west-coast, but sort of leans malty so would probably describe it as a midwest IPA. Not unlike Lagunitas IPA in terms of flavor, but probably milder. It drinks pretty good, but not memorable and pretty much what I've come to expect from Goose Island IPAs. (Final Rating: 3.59)

A little disappointing ... A bit thin and not the flavor bomb the label promises ... Being from Goose Island, it's likely made for the masses and not me so much

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left some lacing on the glass. It smelled of toasted caramel, citrus and some grassy/herbal notes. Sweet citrus taste with caramel, toffee and a subtle piney bitterness.
